This was our last Friday night
cruise for July. Just imagine, summer is half over already so stop complaining
about the heat. It was a little hot when we left Clermont with our S 10 87 P U.
There were no early birds in line when we arrived at Old-Town so we took our
regular stroll around town. Larry came in later with his 04 Dodge Hemi. No Gator
tonight. Bob B finally got his cruiser back from the garage so it was good to
see his 05 SSR again. Chris Mohler was back with his 75 Pontiac Formula 400.
We have a few not so happy events to report, Scot Glassman, who has a 1997 red
T-Top Camaro was out for awhile, his father passed away. He has our greatest
sympathy. Also Stan and Maryann were called back to Pa., a nephew passed away.
It was good to see Paul Harrold out with his 87 Grand National Buick. He had a
few stents put in his arteries but he is looking fine now. Lets keep them in our
prayers.
On the brighter side, Andy and Mickey were back from their vacation. They were
out for a month and had a wonderful time and Mickey said they are leaving again.
This is the time to travel up north if you want to go on a vacation.
This is the last week for Ed Gasdick to enjoy being Cruiser of the Month. He has
an 88 Corvette. Tony had his 94 Corvette and George and George had their 86 Olds
Cutlass to share the covet spot. As of yet, we do not know who the cruiser of
the month for August will be.
Down on block 2 we found George Pennachi with his 05 Yukon. George put another
alternator on his Yukon. A light was on which George did not know and that was
giving him the problem. So it is not only the old ones that give you the
problem.
Jon was out with his 04 Scion and his many Scion friends had their cruisers out
but we did not see them. The Tropical Breeze gang were out tonight enjoying
Old-Town. Also under the stairs gang had their favorite spots. They were
enjoying a very good band tonight. Night Fire was the name of the band.
Many of the PT cruisers were out tonight including Toby with his 04, Ralph with
the black PT and Bert and Laverne with their PT. Billy had his HHR. Ken and
Audrey were by the stage with their Jaguar. Ramon was near the bleachers with
his 06 Mustang. Albert had his 01 Trans AM and Eric Curenton had his 88 black
Convertible Camaro. We had many of the Chryslers out tonight.
A few of our cruisers that were visiting tonight were Tom and Susie Coupe and
Ken Keel and Charlie. Ken's cruiser is all tore apart and Ken has a job of
putting it back together again. Two cruisers who have not been out in a couple
of years were Scot Roadruck who has an 87 Caprice and Kyle with his 87 Monte
Carlo. Both of these cruisers have 24 inch wheels and were very nicely detailed.
They said they would be back but may not have the same vehicles as they like to
trade and get other vehicles.
Bob and Norma were late coming out as they were out buying a daily driver.
Alfonso and Tammy had their beautiful 86 Cadillac out cruising. James and Jean
Branch were back after a trip up north with their 04 Chevy Blazer. Felix had his
78 Scorpion.
A few more regulars are Glen Winston who had his 07 Shelby Mustang GT, Ryan, and
Michelle had their 08 Mitsubishi. A real nice looking 2010 blue Mustang belongs
to 16 year old Celine. She just got her license today, her father and mother,
Sam and Tonya bring this beautiful cruiser out. It is a V 6 Premium. Tim Andrews
had his 87 Olds Cutlass as was Robert Campiglia with his 87 blue Mustang.
We missed Miguel tonight but Chris did a good job in his place. We hope all is
well with Miguel. We want to keep Gary in our prayers and we hope to see him
soon. We miss you Gary. We also want to thank our staff for doing a very good
job and all the sponsors who support our cruises.
Our Cruise-O-Matic was $475.00 but no takers tonight. Our 50/50 was $40.00 and
went home with Rene. Her father bought 20 tickets. We had 146 registered
cruisers on this beautiful Florida evening
See you all next week.
