Testing 1

This is our first cruise in July, this being our Fourth of July weekend, we had quite a large spectator crowd. It seems more people are traveling again and with school out now we are seeing bigger crowds out. We hope this is a sign of a better economy. It rained all morning in Clermont but as you know we have a cruise every Friday, rain or shine. Around one o'clock the weather cleared up so we got our S 10 pickup ready to cruise. When we arrived at Old-Town Doug was there to greet us. Right now he is between cruisers and was just visiting. Stan and Maryann were next to arrive with their cruiser. Time seems to fly by when you are having fun and soon it was 5 o'clock. Dave and Lee came by to chat awhile and left us in on the brick streets.
We were joined at the Steakhouse by Doug, Gerald, Stan and Maryann. Gerald brought out his 96 Ford Ranger tonight. We strolled up to block 3 where we found Larry with his 04 Dodge Pickup, Gator had to work tonight. Bob B with 05 SSR, Mike had the 1992 Sonoma, Jay had his 2002 Corvette, Scott Glassman had his 1999 Camaro SS and Jon and Jennifer were just relaxing in his 2004 Scion.

Our new cruiser of the month is one of the losers again. Ed Gasdick, (who is no. 1 loser), got the honor this time. He chose George and George with their 86 Olds Cutlass and Tony who has a 1994 Corvette to share the honored spot. We met George's grandson Patrick and his girl friend Cassandra. They seemed to be enjoying Old-Town.

George Pennachi had his beautiful 05 Yukon decorated for the Fourth of July. He takes great pride in his cruisers. Also on the bricks were Kyle Crandall who has an 06 Green Scion, Gino Resto had his 04 Scion and has been cruising since 05, his daughter was with him tonight. A few more Scions were Felix Reyes who has a 2006 XB and Jean Alarcon had the Brown 06 Scion.

Back on trophy row we saw the Tropical Breeze gang were out tonight. Also the under the stairs gang were in place and enjoying one another's company. Bob and Norma were in their favorite spot next to the stage with their orange 06 Mustang.

As we strolled on trophy row we saw a lot of Chryslers out tonight. Many of them belong to FLXC Club. This club is an all Dodge Chrysler, All Mopar, state wide club. Welcome to our cruise.

Ramon had his 06 Mustang and Monchito was here with his 06 Charger. Alfonso Soto had his beautiful 86 Cadillac. Vinny, who cruises an 05 Dakota was out helping where ever he is needed. A few more dedicated workers and good friends of Old-Town are Scotty and Miguel who are always there and ready to help. Thank you guys for all you do for the cruisers.

Luis and Sylvia had a 2003 Nissan Frontier cruising tonight. Also we had Michael and his daughter Brittnay here cruising their 03 Dodge Viper. Some of the PT Cruisers are: Ralph with his 2001 PT, Bert and Laverne with their (Elvis) 07 PT and Bob Melzer with his 06 blue PT. Billy had his 2010 HHR here tonight. Wayne and Connie were here with that nice looking 79 Midget MG. Our lady cruisers, also Friday Night Dancers, are Nancy and her 91 Mustang, Lori had her 06 Charger and Lynn with her 2009 Avalanche.

Joe and Penney who are between cruisers now were out visiting. They are expecting an addition to their family in a week or two. Congratulations to both of you.

A few more regulars we should mention are Al Corsetti and his beautiful 1999 Corvette, Felix with his 1978 Scorpion, James and Jean Branch with their 2004 Chevy Blazer, Freddyson with a 03 S 10 Extreme, Josh had his 85 El Camino and a very nice 1999 BMW belonging to David and Sandra. They also had their son Anthony with them tonight.

Ryan had his 08 Mitsubishi Eclipse and Michelle and Miki were with him tonight. Sam had his 09 Mustang. Two of our dedicated cruisers who are also part of our staff are Gary with his 2007 HHR and Dave with his 83 Mercury

Our Cruise-O-Matic was $375.00 tonight but no takers. The 50/50 was $51.00 and ticket number 56326 won it tonight. We had 133 registered cruisers tonight.

See you all next week.
