We decided on our S 10 Pickup
truck for this Friday's cruise at Old-Town. It was a beautiful day, although a
little cool, as we left the beautiful hills of Clermont. We were the first of
the early birds to arrive so we set out to visit some of our friends in the
shops. Donna and Brian at the leather shop are always ready to greet any that
stop by. We stopped to chat with Jackie at the Pearl Shop, we have many friendly
merchants here at Old-Town and they contribute much to our cruise, so stop by
and visit with them, you will make some new friends and maybe buy something you
can't do without.
Stan and Maryann brought out their 2005 Escape, Bob B had his 2005 SSR, Chris
Mohler was back with his 1975 Pontiac, he really has it looking real nice, Ryan
Fontaine, who can only make it out every other month had his 1989 Cadillac. Also
on block 3 were Robert Campiglia with his blue Mustang, the losers were all
together, George and George with the 86 Olds, Ed and his 88 Corvette and Tony
with his 94 Corvette and chatting with anybody who came by.
Gary, who is a cruiser and part of the staff at Old-Town, was busy getting
things set up but took time to stop and talk to us. He cruises a 2007 HHR. His
buddy Dave also brings his 1983 Mercury out every week. These two do a great job
and we appreciate them very much.
On down on block 2 were Mike and Seth with their 1992 Sonoma, Andy with his one
owner 1979 Cadillac, Ron had his 82 Corvette and Dennis was back after a few
weeks off with his 86 Monte Carlo. Back on trophy row we talked to Ed Guglich,
he had his wife's 2001 Mustang out tonight. They each have a Mustang, good deal.
By the stage Ken and Audrey were back with their 2006 Mustang, the cold weather
has kept them away for awhile. Next to the bleachers were Ramon and his 06
Mustang and Monchito had his 06 Chrysler 300.
Under the stairs gang were our lady cruisers and a few others. Nancy had her 91
Mustang, Lori had her 06 Charger, Lynn had the 09 Avalanche and Pablo and Nilda
had their 96 Taurus. These ladies are part of our Friday night dancers. We
wandered down to block 4 to see our cruiser friends who usually park there. We
found Toby Buck who had his 2004 PT, Ralph had his 01 PT and Bert and Laverne
with their 07 PT. Also there was a red Avanti there. Jon had his 78 Pontiac,
Chuck with his 81 Camaro, Angie and Jade were not out tonight, they don't like
the cold weather, and Gerald had his 1996 Ford truck.
We saw Glenn and Stephanie but don't know which one of their cruisers they
brought out tonight, many of our cruisers have more then one cruiser to show.
Also near by was Albert and his 2001 Trans Am. Tom Cregger who cruises a 1987
Mustang Convertible, can't come out every week but enjoys it when he can. Tom
had his mother's friend, Joyce Thomas, who resides in Knoxville, Tennessee with
him tonight. She was bundled up for the cold.
Vinny who cruises a 05 Dakota was running around with his scooter helping out
where he could. Tim Andrews had his 87 Olds and he brought his brother Gil
tonight. A few more cruisers we encountered were Darrel Jones with his 83 Monte
Carlo, Ryan Gaskin a 2008 Mitsubishi Eclipse, Juan with one of his many cruisers
was out, Karen with her beautiful 07 Mitsubishi Eclipse, Bill Denonn had his 79
Olds Hurst, Felix had the 78 red Scorpion and Cecil had his 85 Chevy Pickup.
Sean Rogers is our new cruiser of the month for March. He has a great Nissan
with many add-ons. His wife Amanda and Daughter Kara were with him tonight. We
hope they come out more often. Congratulations to them. The Peanut Butter
Company was entertaining on stage tonight to the delight of our dancers and our
many spectators. Some more cruisers we saw were Freddyson and his 03 S 10
Extreme, Edwin with his 92 Mazda B 2200, Jose 06 Corvette and Angela 05 Scion.
Also Danny had his 78 Plymouth Fury.
We had 171 registered cruisers tonight. A pretty good turnout. Our
Cruise-O-Matic was $775.00 but Dave could not give it away. The 50/50 was $41.00
and went home with one of our cruisers, Ed Guglich. Congratulations Ed.
See you all next week.
