Due to the wet weather we had a
minimal cruise tonight, however 40 dedicated cruisers did show up. The spectator
count was down but they were very enthusiastic. We decided to bring our 79
T-Bird to cruise, we arrived at Old-Town our usual time and before the rain
came. Stan and Maryann were the next diehards with their 2005 Escape, followed
by Barry and his 2009 PT Cruiser. Around 3:30 it started to rain so we all
stopped in the Leather Shop to visit our friends Brian and Donna. By 5 we had a
few more diehard cruisers come in. Dave and Lee welcomed us onto the brick
streets and then we headed for the Steakhouse. Maryann and Stan and Gerald
joined us there. Gerald's Pontiac is still under the weather so he brought his
96 Ford P U and he was the only one on block 4 tonight.
On the street we found Bob B and his 2005 SSR, George and George (Loser 3 and 3
!/2) with their 86 Olds Cutlass, Tony (Loser 2) had his 1994 Corvette and Robert
(who we did not see) had his Mustang here. George Pennachi was busy using the
rain to clean off his beautiful 2005 Yukon.
Kelly Cunningham is on cloud 9 tonight because Allan chose her to be our Cruiser
of the Month for February. She has a 2002 Dodge Ram Pickup. This truck has a
very unique paint job and Kelly is very proud of it. Just to think, she was
debating whether to come out tonight (because of the rain) but it pays to be in
the right place at the right time. Congratulations Kelly, we are proud of all
our lady cruisers.
The under the stairs gang were all out tonight: we had Bert and Laverne who had
their (Tribute to Elvis) 2007 PT Cruiser, Pablo and Nilda had their 1996 Taurus,
Lynn with her 2009 Avalanche, Lori had her 2006 Charger and Nancy had her 1991
Mustang. Alan and Pat and we saw Keith and a few more of the regulars there. Out
on trophy row we found Ryan Gaskin, he had his 2008 Mitsubishi Eclipse here
tonight. Glenn and Stephanie were out visiting tonight, they are cruisers but
decided not to bring it out in the rain.
We met a nice family from New Hampshire who came down to Florida (for a month)
to get out of the cold weather up North. Carvin and Mary Ellen Salvatore had
their son Joe and grandson Anthony with them. Anthony said he liked Old-Town
better than Disney. They just happened to have a 2009 Dodge Ram and they had
enough modifications to cruise it. They asked us if they could cruise with us
tonight and we told them what to do. It was their first cruise but they said, "
it would not be their last." Another happy cruiser.
We saw Darrel Jones but not his cruiser, Vinny had the 05 Dakota, Freddyson and
his 03 S 10 Xtreme P U, David had his 05 Corolla and Karim had his 2010 Camaro.
We thank all the cruisers that came out on a wet night.
Our 50/50 was $15.00 and was won by lucky Bert Brown. He's on a roll. Our
Cruise-O-Matic was $675.00 and number 5906 was pulled, they were not here.

If he would have made it to Old Town tonight, the real job called. |
