Friday was another cold winter
day here in central Florida, at least for us Floridians. We saw a few short
sleeved shirts and even some shorts, must have been tourists. We had a small bit
of rain early in the day but it was fairly dry for our cruise, of course we
cruise in any weather, thanks to Old-Town, Allan and our dedicated staff and the
many visitors that come from all over to enjoy our hobby and check out all our
town has to offer. You will find many friendly people here to chat with. We
chose our T-Bird to cruise tonight and were the first to arrive, followed by
Stan with his 77 Pacer.
Doug came by with his big 2007 Chevy Truck. Barry had his 2009 PT Cruiser out
tonight. Tony (the Loser) with his 1994 Corvette and one George tonight who had
the 86 Olds. The other George is under the weather, we hope to see him next
week. Doug K stopped by to say hi to us early birds but did not cruise.
Of course Gary and Dave, two of our cruisers who choose to work, bring their
cruisers every week. Dave has the 1983 Mercury and Gary the 2007 HHR. We thank
them both for everything they do for the cruise.
Bob B was back with his 2005 SSR, he has been up north enjoying the 26 inches or
more of snow that they had in Maryland. Jay was on block 3 with his 2002 yellow
Corvette, Mike and Seth was behind with his 1992 Sonoma truck. George Pennachi
had his 2005 Yukon. Karen came in a little later with her 2007 Toyota. She has
Leopards on the sides and hood on this cruiser. She really likes to make her
cruisers stand out to catch your eyes.
Our friend, (Fred from Michigan) was back in town and visiting his many friends
he has made here. Our weather is a lot better than Michigan weather right now.
Juan and Leidis from Puerto Rico (two of our friends) were also visiting
tonight. We are always glad to see them when they get in town.
Tim Andrews had his 1987 Olds cruising tonight. He had some new tail ligh
ts that needed to be installed.
George and some other cruisers put them in for him. Cruisers are good to help
one another and in this hobby that we have, it is good they do.
Back on trophy row we saw Vinny with his 2005 Dakota, Freddyson with his 2003
Xtreme S 10 and Nancy who had the 1991 Mustang. We talked to Doug Gonzalez who
had his 1990 Nissan. He resides in Orlando near the airport. Another cruiser
with a truck was Alex Engberg from Orlando had the 2002 Ford Ranger. Of course
we can't get them all but all of them are important to our cruise.
Our cruiser of the month for January is Toby Buck who has a 2004 PT Cruiser. He
chose two other PT Cruisers to park with him tonight. Ralph with his 2001 PT and
Bert and Laverne with the 2007 PT. Mitchell was with them tonight.
Close Quarters was the band entertaining on stage tonight. We thank our
dedicated staff for another safe cruise for our 60 registered cruisers that
showed up tonight.
Our Cruise-O-Matic was $575.00 but no takers tonight. The 50/50 was $12.00 and
went home with our friend Barry who is also a cruiser.
See you all Next Week!
