We hope you all had a very
Happy Thanksgiving Day and plenty to eat. I know we did. We all have so much to
be thankful for. think about it, not what you don't have but what you do have it
is said. If you have a friend you are rich and we have a whole family of them
here at Old-Town. It was quite cool in Clermont this morning but the sun came up
bright and it was a beautiful day.
We chose our T-Bird for tonight, we arrived a little early and stopped by some
of the shops to chat with friends we made over the years we have been coming to
Old-Town. Brian and Donna welcomed us, also Jackie at the Pearl Shop and a few
others. Stop by and talk to these sponsors, they are friendly and will welcome
you. They are what keeps these cruises going on at Old-Town.
A friend and cruiser who we haven't seen in awhile, Ernie showed up tonight with
his 1987 Fiero GT Pontiac. Maryann was out with Stan tonight, we hope she is
feeling better. They had the 77 Pacer with them. Also on block 3 was Mike,
Stephanie and Seth with the 1992 GMC Sonoma, Dennis, Linda and Devon brought the
1986 Monte Carlo, Andy and Mickey with their beautiful 79 Cadillac and Bob B
with the 2005 SSR. Bob informed us that Larry and Gator will be back soon.
Up on block 4 we had only 2 cruisers, Paul Harrold with his 1987 Grand National
Buick and Toby Buck with his 2004 PT Cruiser. Paul left early and Toby had block
4 by himself tonight.
We had a long chat with Chuck and Linda who brought out their 2 beautiful
Corvettes. Linda's is a 79 and Chuck has a 78 and Chuck keeps them looking
great. Linda brought out her friend Wanda (who works where she does), to enjoy
all that goes on at Old-Town. Wanda really likes Old-Town and the cruise.
On block 2 we spotted Jay with his 2002 Yellow Corvette, George Pennachi (our
regular Friday and Saturday night cruiser), had his great 2005 Yukon XL, Sean
Rogers with the 2005 Nissan and Jonathan Olsen from Groveland had his 2004 Scion
XB. He has been coming out and cruising around 5 years.
This is the last week for our Cruiser of the Month to enjoy his honored spot.
Glenn and Stephanie selected two others to enjoy the spot. David Cruz from
Davenport showed his 1987 Toyota Super. He has been cruising almost 2 years and
Mike O'Neal with his 1995 Mazda RX7. He has been cruising 2 months.
On trophy row was Ken and Audrey with their 2006 Mustang, No Bob and Norma,
maybe too cold? Ramon had his 2006 Mustang and we saw Alfonso Soto who had his
beautiful 1986 Cadillac. Near the stage were Bert and Laverne with their 2007
PT, Pep and Nancy with their 1991 Mustang, Pablo and Nilda with the 1996 Taurus
and Lori and Lynn.
Tony was the only Loser out tonight, George and George were on a cruise, a ship
cruise that is. We knew the weather had changed, (Tony had long pants on) that
is a rarity for Tony.
A few other are Felix with the 1978 Scorpion and Bill had his 1979 Olds out
tonight. A few cruisers came out without their cruiser, Doug is still on the
sick list but came by to say hello to his friends. Bob left his PT at home but
had his son Bob and grandson Darrin with him tonight. We also saw Darrel Jones
but not his 1983 Monte Carlo. A little cool but we had a great night with our
119 registered cruisers.
Our 50/50 was just $23.00 and our Cruise-O-Matic was $425.00 but no takers
tonight.
