Testing 1

Friday again so we cleaned up our T-Bird and headed for Old-Town. The weather was great and Bill Hunter had already arrived with his patriotic 2010 truck. Stan was out with his 77 Pacer but Maryann did not feel up to coming out yet. Lee and Dave welcomed us in at five and we headed for the Steakhouse on the corner. The cruisers were coming in as we walked around. George and George with their 86 Cutlass and Tony had the Corvette. Ken and Audrey and Bob and Norma had their 2006 Mustangs in their favorite places by the stage. We saw Ramon with his 2006 Mustang and Monchito with the 2006 Chrysler.

We met a nice couple who were visiting from Rhode Island, Roland and Edie, they are car buffs and stopped by to see what Old-Town has to offer. They belong to the Northeast Hemi Owners Association. This is their first visit to Old-Town and they promised us they would follow us on Steve's web site.
Under the stairs gang were all in place, the dancers were there waiting to dance and the regular cruisers which include, Pep and Nancy, Lori, Lynn and Nilda, (Pablo said, Nilda brought him out, but he drove). We noticed Carlene and Alan and Pat and probably some more that we did not see. It was good to see Joe out tonight. We also met Tom and Susie Coupe who were out visiting with the cruisers. Tom had been under the weather and his cruising truck isn't ready for cruising yet.

Ken Keel had his 1978 International, he also has a 76 International which he brings most of the time. His friend Charlie joined him later. Ken and Sharyn Dodge had their 78 Ford F100 with them tonight. Michael was there with 2003 Dodge Viper.

Felix and his nice looking Scorpion and Cecil and his 1985 Silverado truck. We saw Alfonso Soto coming with his 1986 Cadillac. A 1978 Lincoln Mark V was spotted but did not see the owner.

Glenn and Stephanie are cruisers of the month for November. They had their Shelby GT Mustang out tonight. They also had a Shelby GT Guitar on display in their cruiser. Glenn told us Ford and Shelby got together and had 200 of these guitars made. They are not available anymore. This guitar was signed by a rock star, Don Mancuso who played with Lou Gramm, Don played lead guitar. Glenn and Stephanie also have a 2008 Shelby GT. They made 219 of these and signed by Carroll Shelby and a 2005 Mustang GT. Bill and his 79 Olds was his guest tonight, to share the honored spot.

Sean Rogers had his 2005 Nissan XTerra SE on the bricks tonight. He has been cruising since 04. There also was a 1987 Pontiac Fiero but did not see the owner.

Toby, Bob and Bert and Laverne had their PT'S on block 4. Jon and Angie had the Pontiac and Chuck and Jade had the Camaro.. Billy had the HHR. Mike had his Sonoma and Stephanie and Seth with him. Andy had the 79 Cadillac and Ed had the 83 Mustang. George Pennachi had his 2005 Yukon CXL.

As you know we have grown considerably in the last couple of years. Part of the reason is this little paper that Steve and Linda publish weekly. This and a lot more is on their web site which is watch by over 30 countries worldwide. They are also ham radio enthusiasts which gets the news out. Another reason for our growth is Allan and the great staff we have to keep things in order and see that we have a safe cruise. Without our sponsors and Old-Town itself we could not do all of this. We don't want to forget our spectators that come out to enjoy these cruises. Remember every cruiser is important. Thanks to all of you.

Our Cruise-O-Matic was $400.00 tonight but no takers. The 50/50 was $39.00 and went home with Jose. There were 188 registered cruisers out tonight.

See you all next week.
