Friday is our night but we must
comment on the Veteran's Day celebration here at Old-Town.
Tracy arranged a great show. We had some military personal visit and put on a
few exhibitions for us. They also had some vehicles to show and plenty of
information on our Veterans. Also Dwight was back with the "Blue Suede Revue" on
stage. His first set was a tribute to Veterans. His show is always first rate.
Thanks Dwight and Vicky. We had a full capacity of spectators to honor the
greatest country on earth---our USA. Lets keep it that way--"One Nation--Under
God".
After a very busy morning we arrived at Old-Town with our S 10 pick up. Bill
Hunter was already there with his 2010 Pickup. It is a beautiful tribute to our
armed forces. Stan and Maryann came a little later with their blue Pacer and
Barry with his PT Cruiser. As usual we had a full line of early birds
socializing till 5:00 when Lee and Dave welcomed us onto the brick streets.
Block 4 was full tonight. Bill with his patriotic truck, then our PT Cruisers,
Toby with his 04 frog car and Ralph with his PT and Billy chose to bring his HHR
tonight. Dave was there with his HHR, Bev is back up North again. Jon and Angie
and Chuck and Jade were also there. We missed Kelly and her pickup. We were in
our usual spot by A&W on block 3 with Stan and Maryann, Bob B with his SSR. His
brother is still here, he is having a great time and really likes Old-Town. Mike
and Stephanie had their white Sonoma pickup and Jay with his beautiful yellow
Corvette. On down the street we found Andy and Mickey with their 79 Caddie and
their buddy Eddie Flame with his 83 Mustang. George Pennachi with his 05 Yukon,
he is a dedicated Friday and Saturday night cruiser, doesn't miss many. George
and George had their 86 Cutlass, Ken and Audrey with their 06 Mustang and Tony
(Loser 2) 94 Corvette (whom we did not see tonight). Bob and Norma had their
orange 06 Mustang out tonight and on the bricks.
Ken Keel was back with his 1976 International--has won another trophy and his
Father is doing better. No Charlie tonight. Ken and Sharyn had their 95 Pickup
and Vinny in his regular spot. Coy---one of our Tropical Breeze gang was giving
out grapefruit he picked from his trees. Thank you Coy, they were good.
The little red Scorpion sure looks good now, great job Felix. We had a chat with
Cecil, he has a beautiful 85 red Silverado Chevy Pickup. Darrel's 83 Monte Carlo
looks neat with those wheels and Monchito had his 06 Charger. Ramon was there
with his 06 Mustang.
Tim Andrews, our friend and fellow cruiser, made it back after 2 surgeries, but
he has to have another stint put in. Please pray for him. We had Michelle with
her (Sleep Until Noon) Band on stage tonight and some very good dancers. Our
lady cruisers and dancers were out tonight--we are proud of--Lynn, Lori, Nancy,
Nilda and the rest who get up there and dance.
The weather is a little cooler but we had a great night for our 132 registered
cruisers. Friday the 13th was very good this time. The Cruise-O-Matic was
$375.00 but no takers tonight. The 50/50 was $52.00 and went home with Jon
Strode. He wins his share of the 50/50.
We thank Allan and his great crew for another enjoyable cruise at our favorite
place to cruise-----OLD-TOWN. Thanks to all the merchants who sponsor us and the
many great spectators who come out to Old-Town to enjoy the many vehicles that
are displayed for them to see.
See you all next week.
