We were early tonight, we chose
our 79 T-Bird for this cruise. Gary was already there and had a lot of his work
done. He is a great asset to us, so stop and tell him so, if you can find him
still long enough. Stan and Maryann are back from their vacation up North. It
was good to see that blue Pacer back in place. Rain was threatening and about 7
o'clock it started, out came the umbrellas and rain gear but most stayed in
their place. The rain wasn't hard and did not last long. It cleared just after
our stage show started. The Repeatles were the featured band and Dwight
Icenhower was doing a mixture of songs with them. No Elvis tonight.
The cruisers were slow coming in again tonight. Buzz and Sue came out with their
daily driver, a little more detailed work being done on the Wolfwagon. Block 4,
on the bricks, were Billy and his PT, Gerald (Mr. Pontiac) with his 1996 Ford
Truck and Kelly who was out with her 2002 Dodge Ram Truck. She enjoys these
cruises and adds a lot to them.
Stan's Pacer was in our usual spot and Bob B with his 2005 SSR. Jay had his 2002
Corvette, Mike and Stephanie with their 1992 GMC Sonoma. We also spotted Dennis
with his 1986 Monte Carlo. Tony (Loser No. 2) had his 1994 Corvette, George and
George, (Loser No. 3 and 3 and a 1/2) with their 1986 Cutlass. Ed (Loser No. 1)
had his 1988 Corvette. Ed can't make it all the time on account of his work.
Ken and Audrey found their favorite spot near the stage for their 2006 Mustang.
Ken told us that he just ordered him a new Jaguar, he'll probably get it in
January. Congratulations Ken.
Monchito had his 2006 Chrysler and Ramon had his 2006 Mustang. We also got a
glimpse of Yolando coming in with her PT Cruiser. Ken and Sharyn were here with
their 1995 Ford Truck. Ken and Charlie arrived with Ken's 1976 International
Truck. Tim and Amanda had their 1994 Jeep out. Amanda had to work day shift at
the Leather Shop so this will be a long day for her.
Vinny got his usual place to park his 2005 Dakota Dodge and Nancy was out with
her 1991 Mustang.
Ann and Porky out tonight to hear Dwight, they are dedicated spectators here at
the stage. Tom and Bunny came down to be here Friday and plan to be back
Saturday. They do a lot for these cruisers and had made many friends here.
Tim Andrews came in around 7:30 with his 1987 Olds. He is going in the hospital
this coming week to be operated on Wednesday and Thursday. He gets a stent for
his heart one day and also gets his knee operated on the next day. We do pray
all goes well for him.
Alan and Pat, two of our dancers, were here enjoying the band. Jazzmine was out
visiting different people. Tommo, one of our former cruisers, stopped by to say
hello, he is down for the winter.
We seen Karen made it out with her Mitsubishi Eclipse. We call it the spider
because all the spiders she has decaled on it. Great cruiser Karen.
Chris Mohler was on the street with his 1975 Pontiac. Felix was out but no
Scorpion yet, still some more work to be done on it. Cecil and his 1985
Silverado were with us tonight. George Pennachi was here with his 2005 Yukon.
George is a faithful Friday and Saturday night cruiser. He doesn't look any
older since his birthday last week.
Dave Skord is Cruiser of the Month for October. He has a 1983 Mercury Marquis.
Thanks again Dave for sharing your spot. Freddyson got his cruiser jacket
tonight for being cruiser of the month for September. Congratulations.
The Cruise-O-Matic was $275.00. No takers tonight. The weather stayed nice and
we had another great cruise with our 119 registered vehicles. We want to thank
each and everyone of you for coming out to be with us. Thanks again to all
involved.
