SUMMER 'S OVER? One could not
tell it here in central Florida. Sure was hot here when we arrived at Old-Town.
We cruised down from the beautiful hills of Clermont with out 79 T-Bird tonight.
The early birds were very slow coming in this evening, Chris finally wandered in
with his Pontiac Formula and Al with his great gray Corvette. Al broke his arm
and has a cast on it, he fell off a ladder and we hope it heals well. We miss
Stan and Maryann with their little blue Pacer, they are enjoying a vacation up
north, and our patriotic Marine, Bill has other commitments a lot of time. We
had a great pirate week last week. We hope you didn't miss it. All 3 cruises
were a great success. Old-Town really goes all out for this special event every
year. Saturday was also Allan's birthday, so we hope him the best. He does a lot
for us cruisers, of course, all his crew does.
We want to especially thank another crew member this week, Lee has been with us
4 or 5 years now, we think he has found a home here and we are glad that he did.
He is easy going, always smiling and will help in any way he can. He likes his
work and has made many friends here. We are glad to have you aboard Lee.
We have a very good band here tonight, Michelle and her (Sleep Until Noon) Band
were entertaining on stage. Thanks Tracy for getting good entertainment for our
cruises.
Bob and Donald were among the early birds, they usually hang out with Al and it
was good to see them out tonight. The snowbirds are slowly arriving in our
Sunshine State.
Andy and Mickey were out with their beautiful 79 Cadillac also Ed and his 1983
Mustang. Dennis with his Monte Carlo was near by on the brick street. Ken and
Audrey were near the stage with their Mustang. Albert was up near the office
where he likes to park his Trans Am. George found a good spot on the bricks with
his Yukon. Jay was back with his yellow Corvette. Monchito and Ramon always like
to get on block one near the bleachers. Also we found another beautiful tan El
Camino but could not find the owner. The losers had two of their cruisers out
tonight. We guess Ed had other commitments. It is always good to see them. The
PT Cruisers have moved down to Block 4 since we can park on the brick street
again. Toby and his PT had the first spot of block 4. Then Billie and Ralph
joined him and Billie had his HHR tonight. Kelly was also on block 4 with her
beautiful 2002 Dodge Ram truck. Chuck and Jade with their Camaro and Jon and
Angie with their Pontiac wandered in around 7 o'clock. Tim and Amanda with their
1994 white Jeep were parked near the stage, they had a couple of friends with
them tonight, Melanie Edwards, another first time cruiser was showing her 2010
yellow Camaro, powered by a 304 hp V 6 engine. She resides in Kissimmee. Friend
Chrissy and her father are fixing up a cruiser for a Saturday Night Cruise.
Our friend Gerald was out but chose not to cruise, did not have time to clean
his vehicle, however, he did get lucky and won the 50/50. We pray for Joe and
all our ailing cruisers and friends. We hope they get well.
Our 50/50 was $40.00 and won by Gerald. Our Cruise-O-Matic was $200.00 but no
takers tonight. We had a 159 registered cruisers.
Cruiser of the month for September is Freddyson Quinones with his 2003 Yellow S
10 Xtreme.
See you all next week.
