This should be a very special
day for all who live in America. The tragedy that happened and the effect it had
on all of us. We hope it never happens again. Remember "United We Stand" and God
Bless America. We want to thank all who participated in Joe's surprise birthday
party and cruise past his house. This was quite a tribute to a great guy and
long time friend of Old-Town. We love you "Joe", so hang in there. Thank you
"cousin Vinny" for setting this up.
We want to personally thank all who helped and offered to help when our T-Bird
developed a problem that same day. We had AAA take it home and we replaced a 30
year old fuel pump and now all seems well---we hope. At least we have it here
tonight.
Another surprise party was Wednesday and I "Bill" was the recipient this time.
We thank Dwight for the very honorable tribute he paid us from the stage. He is
a great entertainer and we are privileged to have him and Vicky for friends. We
love you both. I received a very nice birthday card, signed by many of our
friends. We had a really tasty cake and good fellowship. Thanks Bunny and Tom
for the cake and everything you do for us cruisers. Also thanks Buzz and Sue for
being there when we need you. Seems like we are always celebrating something
here, maybe because we have so much to celebrate. We have a great family of
cruisers here, God is always good.
Tonight was a special night, Allan and his crew arranged for us to park on the
brick streets tonight, but by permit only. We must have our permit on the dash
and be sure to be in your cruiser at cruising time. That is not too much to ask.
Many of the merchants were pleased to see the cruisers back on the brick street
again and many of the cruisers were pleased to be back. We think everything went
smooth. Thanks to our dedicated crew.
We were talking to a very nice couple who were vacationing from Scotland. They
were listening to Eddie and the Cruizers with us. They come over to visit quite
often and enjoy what Old-Town has to offer. They were also here Wednesday night
to see Dwight and Rock at the Clock. It was good to see some of our cruisers who
can't make it out every Friday night. Tonight we Saw Ed and his Pontiac also
Harry Hoxsie and his wife Kris with their 2 Tundra Toyotas. We realize some have
to work or have other commitments, but we appreciate it when they can be with
us.
Another first time cruiser was Tony and Susan, owners of the Tex-Mex restaurant
here at Old-Town, they have a beautiful 1976 Mercedes Benz. Welcome to our
cruise.
We want to thank Chrisanne, one of our crew members, she is always smiling and
tries her best to please. We love you Chrisanne.
Cruiser of the month for September is Freddyson Quinones with his 2003 Yellow S
10 Xtreme. Ramon Received his jacket tonight for being March cruiser of the
month. Congratulations.
Everything else was as usual for our Friday night cruise and we had 164
registered cruisers. Our Cruise-O-Matic was $150.00 tonight. No takers tonight.
The 50/50 was $33.00 and went with Kris to Ft. Myer. On our sick list tonight is
Miguel and Sue. Hope you get well soon.
See you all next week.
