story

More than 80 cars would come out to play tonight, even a '62 Nova convertible would make it's debut outing and Steve Mc was still grinnin'.

We arrived at 3:45, James was already in the parking lot with his '67 Firebird, Greg had his Mustang next to him. Josh, KI4UCB stopped by on his way home. "Mustang Mike" and Emma would situate the DJ rig in it's spot, he noticed that the trees were really dropping their seeds and the pollen was very heavy along our parking area.  Richard F would be the next to arrive in his '31 Ford Roadster, that had once belonged to Art Grindle, a former Florida  state legislator. Ron A would next arrive in his 502 Powered, '61 Caddy. Paul would bring out his "Toy Truck", Mr. Mopar is still wearing that Bow Tie, hmmm? "Cousin John" would bring his Caddy out, Anthony, Mike's neighbor brought out his '66 Impala for the first time. Dave would be out in the '63 Avanti, Jo Ellen would join him later. Jean would park her award winning '36 Ford next to Paul. Tony & Marianne would be out in their SS454 Monte Carlo, Steve Mc, K4SKM would bring out his '64 Corvair and park next to Richard. Bob would arrive in his SSR and take the last spot to the South of James. Serrano would bring his '53 Caddy out and park across from him. "Lucky Louie" would park his  '50 Ford next to Tony. Dick would be out in his 2+2 about the time I spotted Bill "The Photographer". Don R would bring out his "Eleanor" '68 Mustang, Don M would be in his '64 Corvair, Dan Z would start the row in the "Front Line" with his '62 Chevy 409. Jim & Shirley would park the Jeepster next to our "67 Dodge Dart" but would move it later because of the tree. Brian was out in his '66 Malibu, Lisa & Quintino joined him later, he sure is growing and starting to remember everyone. Graham, G4HFG from Oldham, England checked in to see who was out as did Ed, WB8BHL and Tony. K4AVD, still living in Wisconsin.

While Linda & I were at the Sonic, Chuck and Linda arrived in their Corvettes. Steve & Carolyn would be out in their '71 440 Barracuda. John R would park his Mustang next to Steve Mc. Ed & Sara would make it back to a Cruise-In with their '71 Chevy pick up, good to see them back in town. Ron H would bring out his '30 Model A Tudor, Rich had his El Camino across from Chuck. Even the "Wookie" would make it back in his "Heart Breaker" Mustang. John & Sandy would park next to the Barracuda with the '53 Merc. Larry and Karen would join them a little later in "ITZA 40". Neil & Elaine would bring out the "Roller". Dave, Esther and Mesha would be out in the '83 Grand Marquis and park it next to Lenn's Maverick. The Place was filling up. Mike was playing requests and many of our regular spectators were making their way out.

Steve & Donna would then park the '68GTX in it's place of honor about the time we made it back from the Sonic. Bob's '68 SS396 Chevelle, Bill's Vega and Mike & Linda's SS454 Malibu would now be in the "Front Line". Then I saw it, "Remember When" was back out, Gary & Wanda got it going just this last week, a little bare wire near the distributer. Good to see them and the car out. Steve, Charlie & Marie would have the '77 deVille in the lot tonight. Tom & Diane would make it out on this beautiful evening in their Model A pickup. Roger F would have his latest car out, a great looking '62 Chevy II Nova with all of the SS trim. Renee would head over to shop for the prizes. Al would take the spot vacated by the Jeepster for his Model A.
