story

We arrived at 4:05 in our '67 Dodge Dart, a little while later Mike & Emma would arrive with the DJ rig, Fred stopped by on his way to get his '61 Corvair. We decided the rain was done for the day. Jim & Shirley arrived in their '62 F-85 and parked next to us. Jean would arrive in her '36 Ford, "Ranger" Roger would back his '59 Edsel in a spot across from the DJ rig. Dick would place his 2+2 behind Roger's Edsel, Ron A would take his favorite spot for his 502, '61 Caddy. Nicky "Bop" would be out in his Corvette and park between them. Paul would be in his "Toy Truck". Bill the "Photographer" would be out shooting all the cars. Lenn was setting up his Mini car show on a table in front of his Maverick. He also donated a Model for the drawing. Chuck & Linda had their '78 & '79 Corvettes in their place of honor. Doc  would bring out in the "Tater Truck" Suzanne would join him later. Bill would have his '81 Blazer tonight. Ron H brought out his '30 Model A Tudor, later Al would park his Model A next to him. Bob would be out in his '68 SS396 Chevelle, Nick & Fran in the '32 Ford coupe and Bill with his Vega were on the "Front Line". "Bo" would bring out his '64 Corvair, John R would park next to him in his Mustang.   Bert and "Ernie" were in the '66 Comet wagon.  Bill arrived in his '63 Parisienne, Roy F would bring out the Infiniti, Larry & Karen were out in "ITZA 40". John, Sandy & Dawn brought out  the Bumble Bee Merc. I saw Jeff & Tara walking around but they didn't have a car out, nor did James, I guess his Firebird was cold or something. Pat & Alan joined in with us tonight as did Ryan, Pepper and Will. Larry R, still with out a car, was amongst us, Danny joined him later. I even saw "Big John" walk through the lot.

The weather was turning towards Winter by nights end. Even Hank, less the Baja Bug would make it before "Cousin Vinny" or George in his '61 Falcon. Then just before the drawing I spotted Mark in his '62 Impala. Get well "Cigar Bob" we all miss having you out with us. Thank You to Renee for the prize shopping. Larry R was given his very own Cruiser tonight, you know, we hate to see him with out a car so Linda & I gave him the Model that we had won.

The 50/50 of $57 was taken home by George Crofut, he donated some of it to this newsletter, Thank You.

The “Cruise-A-Matic" rolls over to $150, Cruiser Number 634, Ed DeFillippo wasn't out tonight. AWWWWWWWWWWWWW

John Robinson, Cruiser #663 took home the “Mustang” Mike, “Embroidery by Renee”, Cruiser of the Week award in his '65 Mustang Convertible.

Newsletter #229 was on sale, still only $2

See you all "Out There"
