story

We arrived about 4:15 in our '67 Dodge Dart, James had his '67 Firebird where the SSR is usually parked, Bob went to the Keys for a bit of Fishin'. It was 80 degrees, what a change from last week! "Mustang" Mike had to wait a little while for the landscaping vehicle to leave. Dave would be out in his Avanti, "Ranger" Roger would back his '59 Edsel in a spot across from the DJ rig. John would take a spot by the Shade Tree for his  6 Wheeled Suzuki. Dick would place his 2+2 behind Roger's Edsel, Tony & Marianne would take their favorite spot with the SS454 Monte Carlo. Ron A would take the spot on the opposite end for his 502, '61 Caddy. Nicky "Bop" would be out in his Corvette and park between them. Paul would be in his "Toy Truck" and Jean would bring her '36 Ford and park next to him. Steve Mc, K4SKM would be out in his '29 Model A, Greg would have his Camaro out, Jim & Shirley would be out in the '50 Jeepster and park next to us. Chris would be back in his Formula 400, Bill would be out in his Duster, Ron H would park his Model A by Steve's. Morris & Sherill would have "My 2nd 50" behind them. Bill K would line up his Blazer next to Jean. Bill the "Photographer" would be out shooting all the cars. Fred would bring his '61 Corvair to the Sonic for the first time. John P was across from him in his '57 Chevy.

It was a very busy night, we would go over to eat at the Sonic as would nearly everyone that came out. Graham, G4HFG, from Oldham England, Tony, K4AVD, our Events Director, Emeritus from Wisconsin along with our "Radio Regulars" Ed, WB8BHL, T Rod, KT4ROD and Ted, KE4TTE would check in to see who was out. Bob would be out in his '71 Z-28, Nick & Fran in his '32 Ford coupe along with Mike and Linda in their 454 Malibu were on the "Front Line". Dan & Liz would be nearby in the '41 Willys. Dave would be out in his '55 T-Bird, Jaime & Aglae would be out in their Cobra, Bert was in the '66 Comet wagon. Louie would park his '50 Ford next to us. Pat & Alan would be out as would George and Bruni from Wisconsin. It was a great night for this event, the weather couldn't have been better. Even Hank, less the Baja Bug would make it before "Cousin Vinny" or George in his '61 Falcon.

The 50/50 of $116 was taken home by a spectator, Jeff. He was out visiting with Morris.

The “Cruise-A-Matic" rolls over to $150, George Hutchins wasn't out in his '53 Plymouth, AWWWWWWWWWWW.
