story

We arrived on Trophy Row as usual in our '67 Dodge Dart 270, Gary had his '07 HHR Sherrod parked by the stage, Bunny drove Tom in her '68 Fairlane and parked next to us, Bill &Doris parked their '79 T-Bird next to Garry then Dave arrived in his '83 Grand Marquis.

The rain started just as it was time to go to Flippers John was on duty, Tommy drove by to set up his keyboard then Joe arrived in his '77 Corvette. When we got back to Trophy Row Laura arrived in her '98 Firebird, Charlie & Carole were in their '02 BMW Mini and Rosemary & Dan were in her 2000 Mustang Convertible bringing the total number of cruiser cars to 9, obviously there was no cruise up the bricks because we did not have 20 vehicles by 6:30.

The spectator crowd was very light but “The Blue Suede Review” with Shawn as lead guitar, Tommy on the keyboard, Jimi on the drums and Paul on bass guitar Dwight & Vicky were set up and ready to start their show. Tonight began their new schedule there will now be two forty five minute sets 7:00 pm to 7:45 pm then 8:30 pm to 9:15 pm. Mike Singer KJ4GNI was at the controls of the “Blue Room”, Allan, Gary, Dave, Tracy and Scotty were bustling around, Radio Check Ins included Graham G4HFG, Emil KJ4GNH, Tony K4AVD.

After the first set Steve awarded Cruiser of the week to Cruiser # 48 Bunny & Tom in her '68 Fairlane. Bunny did not sell 50/50 tickets and the Cruise-A-Matic was not drawn.

Thank You to Old Town for inviting us out every week, to the Old Town Merchants Association for sponsoring “A Tribute to the King”, to Out of This World Embroidery/Custom Tags, The Old Town General Store, Knives & Things, Toy Time, Electronic Town, The Gold Hut, Kandlestiks, Wound ‘N Around and Old Town Leather, to Tracy Old Town’s Events Director who brings us the “Rock at the Clock” event to Gary & Dave our volunteer TCB guy’s and to all of the Spectators and Cruisers with or without their cars, who come out “Rain or Shine, Hot or Cold” to make this a great evening in our “Home Town”.

See you all Next Week “Same Time, Same Place”
