story

We arrived on Trophy Row as usual in our '67 Dodge Dart 270, Gary had his '07 HHR Sherrod parked by the stage, Bill & Doris parked their '79 T-Bird next to him. On our way to Flippers Dave & Nikki drove by in the '83 Grand Marquis, John took care of us and Tom & Bunny joined us after parking her '68 Fairlane.

Bob & Fenna arrived in his '68 SS396 Chevelle followed by Nick & Fran in their '32 Ford Coupe, Larry & Gator arrived in their '93 Chevy Pick Up, Wolfman & Sue brought out their '03 F150 "Wolfwagon". Ray parked his '32 Ford Coupe by Nick and Bob, Charlie joined us in his '02 BMW Mini, Tim & his Family were in a '94 Jeep, Rosemary & Dan were in her 2000 Mustang Convertible, Bert, Ernie, Mitchel & Grandma arrived in the "Elvis Tribute" PT Cruiser, Kenneth brought out his '80 International P/U, Dave was in his '84 Bronco II, Jerry & Judi brought out the '86 Fiero GT, Butch was in his '83 El Camino, Louis had his '73 Mustang bringing the total number of Cruiser Cars to 19, Doug was in his daily driver.

The weather was not favorable tonight which was reflected in the light spectator crowd, “The Blue Suede Review” with Shawn as lead guitar, Tommy on the keyboard, Jimi on the drums and Paul on bass guitar were set up, Mike Singer KJ4GNI was at the controls of the “Blue Room”, Dwight & Vicky had arrived. Jan and a couple of the other ladies had set the memorabilia table up, Jan is also taking applications from anyone who would like to join Dwight’s Fan Club. Gary & Dave, Tracy and Scotty were kept busy all evening, Radio Check Ins included Graham G4HFG, Emil KJ4GNH Laura, NO4OO and T Rod, KT4ROD

Because of the light turn out Bunny did not attempt to sell 50/50 tickets, so the Cruiser of the week award and the Cruise-A-Matic will be held over until next week.

Allan would really like to see a “cruise up the bricks” become a regular Wednesday Night event however to justify the additional staff required he is requesting a minimum of 20 cars be in attendance by 6:30 pm.

Larry & Mary had a good response to their appeal for supplies to send to the sailor’s on the USS Crommelin that their veterans unit has adopted under the “Molly’s Adopt A Sailor Project”, they thank everyone for their participation, see Mary or Larry for complete details.

Thank You to Old Town for inviting us out every week, to the Old Town Merchants Association for sponsoring “A Tribute to the King”, to Out of This World Embroidery/Custom Tags, The Old Town General Store, Knives & Things, Toy Time, Electronic Town, The Gold Hut, Kandlestiks, Wound ‘N Around and Old Town Leather, to Tracy Old Town’s Events Director who brings us the “Rock at the Clock” event to Gary & Dave our volunteer TCB guy’s and to all of the Spectators and Cruisers with or without their cars, who come out “Rain or Shine, Hot or Cold” to make this a great evening in our “Home Town”.

See you all Next Week “Same Time, Same Place”
