the total number of cruiser cars to 13.
The weather behaved beautifully for us delivering just a few light
rain drops during the break after Dwight’s first set, it was not
until we drove home that it became apparent that the surrounding
area had received enormous amounts of rain throughout the evening.
You really do have to experience these weather anomalies to believe
them. It explained the light spectator crowd but the weather does
not deter “Jazzmine and The Tropical Breeze Group” from attending.
Jazzmine had a treat tonight her Mom had arranged for Laura to make
her a new Poodle Skirt, she was very excited to receive it and she
will be modeling it on Saturday.
The normal pre entertainment arrivals and equipment checks were
taking place by “The Blue Suede Review” Shawn as lead guitar &

guitar, Dwight & Vicky. Mike Singer KJ4GNI was at the controls of
the “Blue Room”, Gary, Dave, Tracy, Scotty Allan & Jerry were on
site, Radio Check Ins included Graham G4HFG and Emil KJ4GNH.

the week to Cruiser # 85 Larry & Gator Morris with their '93 Chevy
Pick Up. Bunny did a great job selling 50/50 tickets and Charlie,
Cruiser # 22 had the winning ticket for the $43 jackpot. Cruiser #
40 Ed & Cheryl Cizenski were not out so the Cruise-A-Matic goes up

Allan would really like to see a “cruise up the bricks” become a
regular Wednesday Night event however to justify the additional
staff required he is requesting a minimum of 20 cars be in
attendance so next week August 19, if we have 20 cars we are
scheduled to “cruise up the bricks”.
Larry, Mary & Charles were out tonight they reported that their
Veteran friends enjoyed themselves last week and announced that they
have adopted the USS Crommelin under the “Molly’s Adopt A Sailor
Project” aimed at sending appreciation to deployed troops with care
packages and communications, they have a list of items that have
been requested by the troops from Popcorn to Personal hygiene
products and handmade items to keep them warm (hats, gloves, socks
etc) see Mary for complete details.
