story

We arrived about 3:30 in our '67 Dodge Dart 270 and followed Dave in his '83 Grand Marquis down the brick street to Trophy Row were Gary had his '07 HHR Sherod parked, he was hanging a sign on the stage with Scotty’s help, Allan was taking care of final set up arrangements. Bill & Doris in their '79 T-Bird were not far behind us and they were followed by Wolfman & Sue in the '03 F150 "Wolfwagon". As we made our way to Flippers we would stop by "Out of this World Embroidery / CstmTags" to check out the prototype of the new "Cruiser of the Week" award. Dawn did a great job on this, Thank You. Oscar arrived in his '93 Ford Taurus SHO along with "Mustang" Mike & Emma in the '64 Greenbrier and Tony & Marianne in their '71 Monte Carlo "Black Beauty". While we were being served by Tiana Chris drove by in his '72 Formula 400, Tom, Bunny, Jim & Joy in the '66 Malibu, Bert & Ernie in their '66 Comet Wagon, Darrell in his '66 LTD, Mike & Carol in their '74 Dodge Dart, Laura in her '98 Firebird, Bill in his '63 Parisienne, Joe in the '65 Thunderbird, Bob in his '68 SS396 Chevelle, Nick & Fran in their '32 Ford Coupe. As we got back to Trophy Row James arrived in his '67 Firebird, "Cousin Vinny" in his '04 Dakota, Ted in his '06 Nissan "Red Racer", Sue & Steve in the '08 "Elvis Tribute" PT Cruiser, John & Sandy in the '53 "Bumble Bee" Mercury, Larry & Lil arrived in "ITZA40", Ann & Nikki in her '92 Corvette Vin was following with more of the family. This brought our car count to 25 on this cool, breezy evening.

Regular spectators included Glenda, Jazzmine, Debby and Coy along with many faces I do not have names for yet.

Dwight would not be entertaining us tonight and The Blue Suede Review were minus a keyboard player but they were set up and we were to be entertained by Jim Jinelli as Elvis, Denny Diamond as Neil Diamond and Shawn Bryant as Buddy Holly. They certainly showed their versatility tonight Shawn played keyboard and guitar for Denny’s Neil Diamond set then Denny played guitar for Shawn’s Buddy Holly set.

Cruiser of the week was awarded to Cruiser # 114 Mike & Carol Bauer in their '74 Dodge Dart 360.

Emma and her helpers were kept busy with the 50/50 ticket sales, Doug Ethridge a spectator had the winning ticket for $129

The Cruise-A-Matic rolls over to $50 for next week, Dan Zapico, Cruiser #97, was not out tonight.. AWWWWWWWWWWWWW.

Thank You to Old Town for inviting us out every week, to the Old Town Merchants association for sponsoring "A Tribute to the King", to Tracy Old Town's events director that brought us the "Rock at the Clock" event and to Gary & Dave our own TCB guys for giving us the time that they do and to all of the Cruisers that are starting to come out on a Wednesday Nite. Come on out, "Rain or Shine!" Cruisers, if you don't want to bring out the car because of the weather come on out anyway, lets build the audience on our own. Remember good entertainment and good friends makes a great evening in our "Home Town".
