We arrived just
after 3:30 in our '67 Dodge Dart 270 following Bill & Doris in their
'79 T-Bird and Dave in his '83 Grand Marquis down the brick street
to Trophy Row, Wolfman & Sue had their '03 F150 "Wolfwagon" parked
south of the stage with Bill in his patriotic '03 Ranger next to
them, Gary had his '07 HHR in his favorite spot. Next to arrive was
Paul a first timer to Old Town who is looking forward to cruising
his '64 Chevelle this winter, "Mustang" Mike & Emma arrived in the
'64 Greenbrier it was good to see Chris and his '72 Formula 400 back
having conquered a bout of health problems, Scotty was on duty and
Allan, Gary and Dave were busy setting up.
As it was such a nice evening weather wise we were expecting to be
busy so we headed for Flippers to be sure we ate, Mike took good
care of us. We watched Fred & Carole arrive in their '78 Fairmont
Futura, Bert & Ernie in their '66 Comet Wagon followed by Darrell in
his '66 LTD, Tony & Marianne brought out their '71 Monte Carlo
"Black Beauty", Bill drove by in his '63 Parisienne, Tom & Bunny had
the '66 Malibu bursting at the seams, Sam in his '06 Mustang and
James in his '67 Firebird.
When we got back to Trophy Row Louie turned in with his '50 Ford and
Rene had his Cadillac, Opera Coupe parked north of the stage
introducing Arte a friend from Boston to the event, Doc arrived in
the '30 Chevy "Tater" Truck and waited for Suzanne to join him, Jim
& Joyce brought out their '69 Mercury and Jim brought out his '70
Monte Carlo for a final cruise before it goes to have some work done
on it.
Bob in his '68 SS396 Chevelle was followed by Nick & Fran in the '32 Ford
Coupe, they parked north of the stage as the south side was pretty full,
Joe arrived in his '65 Thunderbird claiming it was too nice a night
to stay home, Rosemary & Dan were in her 2000 Mustang Convertible,
Laura, NO4OO arrived in her temporally repaired '98 Firebird, John, Sandy &
Dawn were in the '53 Mercury, Lynn left the truck at home tonight,
Greg was in his '85 Camaro, Fred & Betty came as usual to enjoy the
evening, Larry & Karen in "ITZA40" were looking forward to a warm
evening, their introduction last week was a little chilly.
Ted KE4TTE stopped by for a break from work so no “Red Racer”,
Cousin John brought out his '72 Caddy, Steve, Charlie & Marie parked
the '77 Deville next to Louie, Juan didn’t stay long last week but
came back tonight in his '87 El Camino, Hank & Paulette were in
their '84 Chevy followed by Ray & Sue in their '57 Oldsmobile. Fred
got back to town from Michigan this afternoon and arrived a little
late in his newly acquired cruiser a '61 Corvair.
Tony & Lynn were in their '40 Ford with Joseph & Lynda in their '65
Dodge Dart, Jerry & Judy were in their '86 Fiero GT, Ken & Wanda had
company tonight so brought out their daily driver.
Car number 40 arrived just as Dwight and the Blue Suede Review were
starting their first set Rick & Lisa in their '31 Ford.
The spectators had been arriving as steadily as the cruisers and
included regulars Jazzmine, Glenda, Lori and many others. Karen had
a guest sharing the memorabilia table with her tonight Jimmy Velvet.
Dwight invited Allan to sing with him and Bobby played a number on
bass guitar.
Scott stopped by with his family to take some pictures, Ed WB8BHL
made time for a short visit, Mike Singer KJ4GNI was at the controls
in the Blue Room and Tommy was standing in for Peter on the keyboard.
"Mustang Mike"
and I would take the stage just after the first set. We would award
"Cruiser of the Week" to Fred Moritz AKA Fred
from Michigan, Cruiser #76 in his '61 Corvair. Then
have the 50/50 Drawings. Sophie a local spectator would have the
winning ticket for the $220. Cruiser #32, Ray Vanderpool missed out
on the $80 "Cruise-A-Matic", AWWWW, so next week we have $105 in
the offering.

you don't want to bring out the car because of the weather come on out
anyway, lets build the audience on our own. Remember good entertainment
and good friends makes a great evening in our "Home Town".
