at the Chick Fil-A
Clermont, Florida

Testing 1

Second Saturday of the month---time for Chick-fil-a's monthly cruise in in Clermont.. We cruised on over a little early with our 79 T-Bird and were the first one there. The weather was a little unpredictable, sprinkling rain, sunshine and a  breeze. Jen arrived around 4 o'clock with her Studio B trailer. The cruisers were a little slow coming in but then Bob came in with his 1958 Belvedere Plymouth. Mike and Connie Thomas brought out their 1984 Chevy Pickup. There were only 3 cruisers at 5:30 when we went to eat. Our good friends Bob and Fran came in a few minutes later and joined us. They brought their 1977 Volkswagen Bus with them tonight. Larry was a little late arriving but it is always good to see him at these functions.

Donnie came in with his 1970 and half Camaro. He was a loner tonight. His wife April and his buddy Greg did not show up tonight. Donnie also helped selling the 50/50 tickets. Thanks Donnie. Dave came in with his Dragster, he is a regular at this cruise.

We met a very nice couple from down in the green swamp, Sam and Carol Lorina are the proud owners of this great looking 1938 Chevy Pickup. They have owned it about 20 years. They also have a 1927 Pickup. They have quite a few other hobbies.

This is a good night for pickups. Pete Peterson had his 1951 Chevy Pickup and Dave Moran cruised on over with his 1936 Ford Pickup.  Also Glen Fellows had a 1957  Pickup. We had 5 Corvettes with us tonight including Bob and Shirley with their 1963 Corvette, a gray 1964 Corvette and Phil with his 1979 Corvette.

A few other cruisers were Melissa with her 1971 Volkswagen, Greg with his 1970 GTO Pontiac and Scott with his 1995 Camaro. We know we did not get them all but we had 26 cruisers out tonight. About 8 o'clock it started to rain so Jen ended the cruise a little early.

The Chick-fil-a Cow paid us a visit in the parking lot and all were welcome to have their picture taken with the cow. Chick-fil-a was generous as usual and gave out some free samples of their delicious food. Also remember, every cruiser gets a free Chick-fil-a sandwich. Thanks to Rocky, Larry and all the Chick-fil-a crew for another fun cruise.

Don't forget the Volkswagen Car Show which will be on December 5th from 4 to 8. Also next month is our Third Anniversary of this Cruise In. Come out and celebrate with us.

Hope to see you all next month.
