Testing 1

No rain tonight yet but it sure is hot and humid, typical Florida weather for August. This is the last Friday cruise till September. We think we are all looking forward to cooler weather. It's still better than snow. After registration and our evening meal we settled into our favorite spots to enjoy our many friends here at our favorite town-------OLD-TOWN. We brought our S 10 again tonight and parked across from the stage. Near by was Bill Hunter with his new 2010 Ford, Stan and his 77 Pacer,Dennis had his 1986 Monte Carlo and Michael and daughter Brittney with their 2003 Dodge Viper Convertible. Next to the stage on block 2 were Kelly Cunningham with her great looking 2002 Dodge Ram. Also Bert and Laverne with their 2007 PT Cruiser, Nilda and her 1996 Taurus and Nancy and her 1991 Mustang. Both of these girls left their husbands home tonight. A little further down on block 2 were Chuck and Jade with their 1981 Camaro, Jon and Angie had their 1978 Pontiac, Chris Mohler's, good looking 1975 Pontiac, Larry's 1993 Chevy truck, Bob B"s 2005 SSR Chevy and Mike's 1992 Sonoma. Mike also had his wife and son with him tonight.

A couple of dedicated cruisers Tom and Bunny came all the way down from Summerfield to be with us and to enjoy what Old-Town has to offer. Like we said before, this is like family here.

Another friend and regular spectator, Joe Jolly came out to visit us tonight and Doug was out visiting also.

George Pennachi was cruising with his nice looking Yukon. We were talking with Tim who came out with his 1987 Olds. Another one we spotted was Bill and his 1979 Olds. Down by the office were three regulars, Albert with his 2001 Trans AM, Felix with his 1978 Scorpion and Cecil with his 1985 Chevy Truck.

A real eye catcher tonight parked by the clock was an exotic car which was built on a 2006 Chevy Aveo frame. This beautiful vehicle is co-owned by Roger Boetteler and Mike Vetter. Roger also had his wife Carol with him. They call this vehicle an ETV. It looked like something out of the future. This car is going to Germany. They will make any custom car that you can imagine and also will put it on any frame you desire. It was a big hit with the crowd.

On block 1, around the stage and bleachers were the usual crowd of losers, Tony----1994 Corvette, George and George-----1986 Olds Cutlass and Ed"s 1988 Corvette. Then there were Ken and Audrey's 2006 Mustang also Bob and Norma's 2006 Mustang. Across the street was Monchito's 2006 Chrysler and Yolando's 2006 PT. Toby (the frogman) with his 2004 PT Cruiser was parked in his favorite spot down on block 1.

Believe it or not, we met Santa Claus and Mrs. Claus tonight. Mark and Nancy Ziesmer who reside north of Orlando. They left their slay at home and came in with their 2009 HHR. This beautiful cruiser is crimson red and has a legal Florida tag SLEIGH 2. These two Santas have a lot of work around Christmas time. Mark says he does not play Santa but is Santa. This was their first time out but they said they would be back.

This is Vinny's last night to be Cruiser of the Month. Good job Vinny, we know you enjoyed the honored spot. Also tonight Felix, cruiser of the month for July and Chris cruiser of the month for June received their jackets on stage tonight. Look for some more good pictures because Ted was on his job tonight snapping pictures.

The Cruise-O-Matic was $75.00 but no takers tonight. Our 50/50 was $31.00 and went home with Jon, one of our cruisers. Congratulations Jon. We had 168 registered cruisers tonight.

See you all next week.
