Welcome to Old-Town. Another
Friday night of classic cars, music and good fellowship. We have been doing this
every week for 11 years and it's getting better all the time. Spectators from
all over come to share our hobby and fellowship with us. We apologize for being
a little slow this last week but as you know now Mother Nature pulled a sneaky
trick on Steve and Linda. Lightning destroyed some of their computers and other
equipment. Bear with us and we will be back to normal as soon as possible.
Today is a beautiful day for a cruise. No rain in sight. We cruised on down with
our S 10 and Bill Hunter was there waiting for Buzz and Sue. They all had a
dinner date for 3:00. Too bad, we had already ate.
It is good to see Al back with his Corvette. He did quite a bit of damage to his
knee but he is doing well and back cruising again. His friend Don Romano brought
out his 1991 Corvette. It had been awhile since we seen Don out.
Gerald ( Mr. Pontiac), finally got his black beauty Pontiac back in the cruise
after replacing a motor mount and a gear. A few others in line were Pablo and
Nilda, Stan with his 77 Pacer, Larry and Gator with his 1993 Chevy Pickup and we
believe Gator is beginning to enjoy Old-Town very much.
After our lunch with Stan we strolled up trophy row to see who all came in.
There were quite a few Chryslers in block 1. Toby and Ralph were there with
their PT Cruisers. Cody Bunch had his 2001 Monte Carlo Budweiser cruiser and
this is his first time out with this cruiser. His mom Debbie was with him and
they reside in the Sarasota- Bradenton area. Also with him were his
Grandparents Jack and Barbara Neumann from Ocoee.
Up by the stage were our regulars, Bob and Norma with 2006 Mustang, Ken and
Audrey and their 2006 Mustang, George and George and their 1986 Cutlass, Tony
(Loser 2) and his 1994 Corvette and Ed (Loser 1) had his 1988 Corvette.
On the other side of the stage, Vinny with his 2005 Dakota, Ed Guglich and his
1983 Mustang, Dennis with his 1986 Monte Carlo and rest of the regulars. Also
Kelly Cunningham with her 2002 Dodge Ram.
Down near the office we saw Chris Mohler and his 1975 Pontiac, Jay and his 2002
yellow Corvette, Albert and his 2001 Trans Am and Mike had his 1992 GMC Sonoma.
Felix Santana is our Cruiser of the Month for July who has a nice little
Scorpion. He was sharing his honored spot with Otto Brito and his 1980 Toyota
Corolla.
Down on block 4 was Ed and his 1984 Pontiac Parisienne, George Pennachi and his
2005 Yukon, Karen came all the way from Sebring with her 2007 Spyder, Jon and
Angie and their 1978 Pontiac and Chuck and Jade were near by. There were also
many more of the newer cruisers that came out to cruise.
A few others were Cecil with his beautiful 1985 Chevy truck, Hector Torres had
his 2008 Mazda and our friend Tim with his 1987 Olds. Tim also had his father
with him tonight. Some friends who were not cruising tonight are Tommo who we
have not seen for 6 months, Doug and Joanne and Dennis's friend Matt from Palm
Bay.
The band on stage tonight was Sleep Till Noon. Our dancers seemed to enjoy them
very much and the spectators liked them. We talked to Michelle, their leader,
and she said they would follow us on Steve's web site and they would be back in
September. Thanks Tracy for getting us the entertainment. Thanks Allan and his
crew for another safe cruise. We had 207 Registered cruisers tonight. Our
Cruise-O-Matic was $625.00 but no takers tonight. Our 50/50 of $55.00 went home
to Kissimmee with Millie.
See you all next week.
