Where were you? Don't let a
little Florida liquid sunshine dampen your fun. we have great cruises ----rain
or shine. Remember not long ago we were praying for rain, so now lets enjoy it.
By the way the Wednesday Night anniversary cruise was a great success Beautiful
cars, pretty women in poodle skirts and a great show with Dwight Icenhower and
the Blue Suede Revue. We even cruised the brick streets and Allan said we may
cruise more often. But that is another story. This is our Friday Night Cruise.
We arrived early with our S 10 Pickup. We like to visit our friends in the
shops, we have many nice stores here, so stop in and say hi. You will be
welcome. After visiting we returned to our truck to find out how many early
cruisers we had. We had a full line including Bill Hunter with his 2003 Ford
patriotic pickup, Barry with his 2009 PT Cruiser, Stan had to work today but he
still made it by 4 O'clock with his 77 Pacer and we were surprised that Gerald
brought his 1996 Ford out in the rain.
Nancy brought her 1991 Mustang but left Pep at home. George Pennachi with his
2005 Yukon and Vinny with his 2005 Dakota Dodge were parked side by side. We had
a pretty bad thunder storm in the afternoon but all in all it was a pretty good
night for our 68 cruisers that registered.
Toby and Ralph were the only PT Cruisers down on block one. Tony, (the loser)
was parked next to the bleachers but chose to leave at 7 o'clock. Ken and Audrey
were next to the stage with their 2006 Mustang.
We chatted with Mark Maxwell from Roosterville, Ga. who was on vacation but
wanted to visit Old-Town. He said, Roosterville did have a fire station but if
you blink your eyes you will miss the whole town.
Our friend, Tim, and a regular at Old-Town who was in a wheel chair for 6 years
bounced back and was cruising his 1987 Olds Cutlass. Congratulations Tim.
Tom Cregger and his wife Donna along with their 2 granddaughters Jayah and
Jordyn were cruising their 1987 Mustang. Lori, Lynn, Pablo and Nilda and rest of
under the stairs gang were in place. Also Bert with his Elvis PT Cruiser but he
left Laverne at home.
Bob B and his 2005 SSR, Larry with his 1993 Chevy truck and Mike with his 1992
Sonoma were near the office. Jose Hernandez has 3 cruisers, a 1980 Porsche, a
1973 Mazda RX3 and a 1987 El Camino, he chose to cruise the El Camino tonight.
Stan Getty, who recently moved to Clermont had his 2006 Mustang GT to cruise
with us tonight.
Our cruiser of the month for July is Felix Santana with his 1978 Scorpion. He
chose Ted to share the honored spot but of course Ted was out snapping pictures
so we can enjoy them on Steve Butler's web site.
We want to thank Allan and his dedicated crew for another safe cruise. Our 50/50
was $31.00. The Cruise-O-Matic was $575.00, Dave pulled 6 numbers but no takers
tonight.
See you all next week.
