We do believe
the Florida summer showers are back. We arrived at Old-Town with
our 1987 S-10 Pickup today. Around 2 the rains came, however
they were soon over and we had a great evening for our cruise.
remember, our Old-Town cruises go on rain or shine so don't let
a little Florida "liquid sunshine" spoil your fun.
Some of the Saturday night early birds were already in line for
tomorrow's anniversary cruise. Our own "Tony the loser" was
first in line with his great Saturday cruiser "Cletus". This
great cruise is 19 years old and still going strong. Don't
forget next week is our Friday night cruise anniversary.
Registration is at 12 noon. We have come a long way and getting
better all the time. As usual we had a full line waiting for 5
o'clock to get on the brick street. Stan joined us for lunch and
we headed out to meet some new friends, we found one of the last
of the old fashioned station wagons, this was a beautiful 1993
beige Buick and it was a "Woody". It is owned by Mike and Pat
Clark from Clearwater. Pat has her name tag on it "Patty
Woody".
Tony "the Loser" put his 94 Corvette by the bleachers with
George and George and their 86 Cutlass across from them. Next to
the stage were Bob and Norma and their 2006 Mustang and Ken and
Audrey also a 2006 Mustang.
Joe and Penny were back from Pittsburgh and had their 1988 Ford
Ranger, the new paint job looks great. They informed us that
they are moving back to Pittsburgh but they will be back to see
all their friends here.
Pablo and Nilda parked their 1996 Taurus next to the stairs and
Dennis was not far away with his 1986 Monte Carlo. He also had
his son with him. Gerald (Mr. Pontiac) is having trouble with
his Pontiac so he brought his 1996 Ford Truck out. Pep and Nancy
parked next to him with their 1991 Mustang. Bert with his 2003
"Elvis" PT Cruiser was with us instead of down on block 1 with
the other PT Cruisers. Toby with his frog car found his favorite
spot on block 1. His cruiser looks great since he had the
scratch repaired.
We have a new cruiser of the month for June, Chris Mohler's 1975
Pontiac white formula 400 looks great in this honored spot. This
is the first time cruiser of the month was chosen by the
cruisers themselves. Congratulations Chris.
George Pennachi found a good spot on block 2 for his 2005 Yukon.
Jon and
Angie were nearby with their 1978 Pontiac Firebird Formula and
their good friends Chuck and Jade had their 1981 Camaro out
tonight.
Larry had his lovely wife Gator with him tonight. She has to
work and doesn't get to come out to the cruise very often. They
had their 1993 Chevy Pickup with them. Jay was parked near the
office with his 2002 Corvette. Bob B was close by with his 2005
SSR. Mike was also there with his 1992 GMC Sonoma. Ken and
Sharyn Dodge pulled in before 7 o'clock with their 1995 Ford
Pickup and we had a beautiful night for our cruise. A lot of
Saturday night cruisers were out tonight, some were early for
tomorrow's anniversary cruise but some were just out to enjoy
our cruise.
We want to thank all the merchants that sponsor our cruise and
that donate the great prizes. We also thank Allan and his great
crew for what they do for us.
Our Cruise-O-Matic was $450.00 tonight but no takers. Our 50/50
of $53.00 was won by lucky Bert Brown, one of our fellow
cruisers. We had 151 registered cruisers tonight.
See you all next week!
