A time for thanks. First we
thank the Lord for the rain, we knew he would provide but it was getting a bit
dry. We thank our friends from over seas for their interest in our hobby. Some
of them travel thousands of miles to see in person what they have heard on the
ham radio or seen on the web site. Of course we appreciate all our local
spectators too. We thank Old Town for giving us a place to show our classics. We
owe a lot to the shop owners that sponsor us and donate prizes. We want to thank
you Jeri, Allan, Tracy and all concern. Thanks to Gary, Dave, Esther, Chrisanne,
Mesha, Miguel, Scotty and our full staff for all the little extras they do to
make our cruises more enjoyable.
Our early birds included Pablo and Nilda, 96 Taurus, then we arrived with our 79
T-Bird, Bill Hunter, 03 Ford, Buzz and Sue, 03 Ford, Paul and daughter Nikki, 87
International Buick, Toby 04 PT Cruiser, Larry 93 Chevy Truck and Ken and Sharyn,
95 Ford truck. Dave and Lee greeted us at 5 o'clock. Gary was running around but
we don't know what he was doing. We ate alone tonight because Stan and Maryann
are on vacation this week.
We chatted with George Oravsky who has been cruising with us a few months. He
has a beautiful 1994 Red four door Lincoln Town Car. Also on block 2 we talked
to Tom Cregger from Kissimmee who owns a 1987 Mustang Convertible. Beside him
was this 2005 GTO Pontiac belonging to Darryl Thomas who has been cruising with
us for about a year.
George and George 1986 Cutlass, Tony (the Loser) 1994 Corvette, and our Loser
No. 1 Ed was back with us tonight with his 1988 Corvette Convertible were parked
near the bleachers. Also Bob and Norma had their 2006 Orange Mustang out
tonight.
Bert and Laverne were parked down with the PT Cruisers again. George Pennachi
also was out cruising his Yukon. Parked in the stage area around us were Andy
and Mickey's 79 Cadillac, Vinny with his Dakota and Gerald (Mr. Pontiac) had his
black beauty 1979 Pontiac which was out of commission for awhile.
Mike, 1992 Sonoma GMC Pickup, Bev and Ted, a very nice 1981 Imperial, Chuck 1981
Camaro, Felix 1978 Scorpion. We spotted Josh and his wife while back at the
stage. It was good seeing them out as those twins keep them very busy.
Peanut Butter Company were on stage and we had dancers to enjoy the music. It
was a very nice evening and we had 146 registered cruisers to enjoy it. Happy
Birthday Mike Singer and get well soon Joe. We miss you. Our 50/50 was $54.00
and went home with Willy, Our Cruise-O-Matic was $375.00 but no takers tonight.
See you all next week!
