If you weren't at
Old-Town tonight you missed out on some great entertainment. The
"Repeatles" were on stage and they are one of the best. They also had a
great guest star, Dwight Icenhower dropped in to sing a few songs. As
you know Dwight has a great show on Wednesday night. We have the Duke
Davis Memorial Cruise with some very nice cruisers, also "Rock At The
Clock" with Dwight doing a great impersonation of Elvis "the king" and
we thank Tracy for a fine job of getting this entertainment for us. Also
for Old-Town for staging all of this. We want to congratulate Dwight and
Vicky on their marriage and pray it is a long and happy one. Thanks for
being friends. Now on to our Friday Cruise.
We arrived around 1:00 with our T-Bird. Buzz, Sue and Bill Hunter were
already in line with their trucks. Al wandered in with his Corvette and
had his friend Bob from N.Y. with him. Bob is a snowbird and will be
leaving for home next week. He said, he would be back in the fall. Al
has a favorite spot near the office where he likes to show his beautiful
cruiser.
Stan with his Pacer followed by Bob and his SSR. It was good to see
Larry Morris back cruising again. He hasn't been feeling well lately and
has missed some cruises. Lee and Dave welcomed us in at 5:00. We all
found our regular spot to show our cruisers. Then we headed over to the
corner Steakhouse with Stan. Then we were joined by Dennis. We wandered
out and found a beautiful 1986 Chevy Caprice Classic. This beautiful
metallic orange cruiser is owned by Jason Curtis from St. Cloud. He has
added 22 inch Bigg Blade chrome wheels and many other modifications. He
still has big plans including adding a bigger motor. This is only his
second week out. We hope he becomes a regular and we do like to see the
older cars.
Old Town has added something new for the kids. They have the cutest
little choo choo train running up and down the brick streets. This
little choo choo is unique, as it puffs like a little engine, has a bell
and steam comes out of the chimney. It is very nice and we are sure the
kids will love it.
Felix Santana, Albert, Chuck and Linda with their Corvettes, Ken, Sharyn
with their truck and little dog were parked on trophy row. The under the
stairs gang were all in their places and enjoying all the entertainment.
Ike and Nancy have not been out for awhile, he has been having some
health and some car problems. It sure was good to see them back tonight.
We had the mighty Titans visiting and cruising with us tonight. We like
to have these visitors coming in and enjoying our cruise.
Of course George and George, Tony (the Loser) and Ken and Audrey were in
their favorite spots. These are regular diehard cruisers and we
appreciate them. Also the Wagner's had their orange Mustang there.
George Pennachi was back from his trip up North. We are always glad to
see our cruisers come home. Andy and Mickey had their Caddy on the
bricks and so did Ed. Chris was next to the stage with his Pontiac.
Block 4 was just about full, the PT's were there, four of them , Toby,
Ralph, Carol and we missed the name of the other one. George Cox, Jon
and Angie and Mr. Pontiac. Butch and Jade were out but not cruising.
All was well with our 230 registered cruisers. The 50/50 was $67.00. And
our Cruise-O-Matic was $175.00 but no takers tonight.
See you next week!
