This is the last Friday in
February and we could not ask for a better day even if we could order it. When
we got to Old-Town with our T-Bird, Bill Hunter was there with his 2003
patroitic Ford. Buzz and Sue had called earlier to say they were having some
problems with the electronics he has in his truck. It wasn't long before Al came
in with his 1999 Corvette. He had his friend Bob with him tonight. We enjoy the
many visitors that come to Old-Town. As we were strolling along we met Mel, a
friend who worked at one of the shops for 12 years. He was shopping and it was
good to see people patronizing the many shops. Stan (the Pacer Man) came out
early with his 77 Pacer.
We met a very nice couple from Ga. Robbie and Cecilia Lewis, they have a
beautiful 2002 Pontiac Trans AM. This is their first time here. This cruiser
will be featured in the High Performance Pontiac Magazine with pictures and a
story. They were thrilled about this honor.
Jim Jordan had his 1985 Lincoln cruising tonight. This is his second time out.
This cruiser has over 500,000 miles on it. It is a four door and has 2 sun
roofs. Jim has a solar panel (in the dash) which keeps the battery charged. The
engine has been replaced with a 1993 Mustang engine to give it more power.
Block 4 had 2 PT's and Toby was one of them, Jon and Angie made it out with
their 1978 Pontiac and Gerald (Mr. Pontiac) got his cruiser back on the road
again. Gerald was working on his Pontiac and got a very bad cut on his hand. We
were glad to see him back.
Under the stairs gang were in their usual places. Ken and Sharyn did not get
their usual place. We had many cars and trucks tonight. We had 211 registered
cruisers. The yellow Mustang Club were visiting tonight. Ryan was out with his
1989 Caddy who had a couple of his buddies with him. Dennis and his uncle were
out in the 86 Monte Carlo. Chuck and Linda and their Corvettes were out enjoying
the cruise. Dave and Jane were near the stage with the 1980 Pontiace Trans AM.
Doug was out visiting to see what was out tonight. Gina (Ted's wife) came to be
with Ted. We almost missed Ward and Marilyn tonight. It has been awhile since
they were here but we sure are glad they decided to bring their 94 Nissan truck
out. Kristen was also visiting and we had a nice chat with her. George was out
with his Yukon and the Wagner's had the 2006 Mustang on the brick street.
This is the last night for Ken and Audrey to be the cruisers of the month. We
know they enjoyed the honor that was given to them. Ken also got new chrome
wheel covers for his Mustang. They do look sharp. George and George and Tony (
the Loser ) were their guests.
Ed Guglich and his wife were out cruising after a long absence because of his
illness. We sure were glad to see him back cruising.
The 50/50 of $102.00 went home with Mike a cruiser. No takers for the
Cruise-O-Matic.
See you all next week.
