Mother Nature gave us another
cool and beautiful sunny day. It did get cooler when the sun went down. We
arrived at Old-Town around 1:00 with our T-Bird instead of the S 10. It has a
gas leak and might be out a couple of weeks. Buzz and Sue were there with the
2003 Ford. Bill Hunter was next with his 2003 Ford. Stan had his 77 Pacer and Al
and his friend Donald were next with the beautiful 1999 Corvette and the rest of
the early birds followed suit. Bob Butler was back from his vacation in the
Keys. He said the fishing was fine and he enjoyed every minute of it but he was
glad to get back to Old-Town, the cruise and all his friends.
As we said before anything can happen at Old-Town, but this was an odd
situation. We were stopped by a young teenage boy who said his mother and
grandmother were locked in a store. It seems the store keeper went to lunch and
over looked two ladies that were still in the store, it was good the boy did not
go in the store with them. The doors had dead bolt locks and could not be
unlocked inside without a key. We went to another store and asked a lady if she
could get help. She told us to watch her store and she would find someone to let
them out. Within minutes they were released and they all were happy and all had
a good laugh .
At 5 o'clock Lee and Dave let us in on the brick street. Buzz, Bill, Ralph and
Toby headed for block 4 and were joined a little later by Joe and Penny with
their red Ranger.
Tom Coupe was out visiting with us tonight, his green truck is up North where
his 2 sons are remodeling it. We miss him not cruising with us. Doug was also
out but his El Camino is not ready to cruise yet. Chris Mohler was here with his
1975 Pontiac. Jay is still on cloud nine, his beautiful 2002 Corvette is still
being used at Universal Studio's. He is proud of this as he should be.
George Pennachi had an odd experience, he was sitting in the Walmart parking lot
reading and his Yukon was hit by a runaway shopping cart. It did put a small
dent above the front wheel well. It so happened that George was buying a very
nice set of wheel well covers and that took care of the dent. Walmart would not
do anything about it even though one of the employees saw it happen. That was
an expensive trip for George.
The under the stairs gang and dancers were doing their thing, Pablo and Nilda
with their Taurus, Bert and Laverne with their Elvis PT, Nancy, Lynn, Butch, Joe
and others we forgot to mention. Andy was parked on the brick street with his
great looking Caddy, Santana was their with his 1978 Scorpion
Ken and Audrey were freezing but they are the cruisers of the month of February
and need to be here. Of course George and George with their Olds and Tony (the
loser) are still their guests.
Fred from Michigan was visiting tonight. He bought a Saturday night cruiser and
he will be cruising when he is in town.
We had 134 cruisers on this chilly evening. Our 50/50 was only $37.00 but it was
cold. Our Cruise-O-Matic had no takers tonight.
Don't forget we have a Wednesday night cruise and a great stage show with Dwight
Icenhower. He does a great Elvis and has a great band to back him up. Come out
and enjoy old cars, good music and a time to fellowship with friends. You will
be glad you did.
See you all next week.
