It was a beautiful Florida day
so we decided to leave early and have our lunch at Old-Town. We cruised on down
with our S 10 and dined at A & W. When we came back out Bill Hunter had just
arrived in his beautiful 2003 patroitic truck. Soon Stan and Maryann came in
with their 77 blue Pacer. Al with his 1999 Corvette brought his buddy Bob with
him today. Al has a favorite spot where he can watch the people go by.
Also Albert Palmieri got in line with the early birds with his 2001 Trams Am
Pontiac. At five o'clock Dave and Lee had a full line to register tonight. Stan
and Maryann joined us for our evening meal. Then we went out to chat and to
socialize with our many fellow cruisers.
We met another first time couple, Dale and Judy from Merritt Island, brought
their red 1977 AMC Pacer to cruise with us. They have replaced the engine with a
408 CI Mopar and a 727 Automatic with a 8- 3/4 rear end. Dale has customized his
cruiser with the help of his wife Judy who loves doing this kind of work.
Last week we mentioned that Universal Studio was using Jay's yellow 02 Corvette
for a few days. The way we understand, it was used as an advertisement for
action sequence for wrestling mania. They also are going to use it again but not
sure just what for. Jay is very thrilled about it.
Anibal was out tonight with his 1979 Chevrolet Caprice. It has been awhile since
he was here. The Wagner's were out with their 2006 Mustang and the Dodge's had
their 1995 Ford truck where they like to be. Andy and Mickey had their Caddy
out. Andy also had his brother with him. Dennis had his Monte Carlo and George
had his Yukon on the brick street. It was good to see Pablo and Nilda back after
a couple of weeks off. They showed us some pictures of that new grand baby boy.
Congratulations to them. Block 4 wasn't clear full, Bill, the PT Cruisers and
Jon and Angie with their Pontiac. We had Fred, from Michigan, and Gerald out
visiting tonight. Many of the young cruisers with their newer models and the
Chrysler gang were out to cruise.
Gary and Susan Lord made another visit tonight with their 1987 Avanti. They are
heading north tomorrow and plan on being back next year. They like Old-Town.
There were 3 Ghost Busters walking around Old-Town all evening. All they would
say was that they were working.
The 50/50 of $85.00 was won by Laverne who bought 2 tickets. No takers for the
Cruise-O-Matic. We had 184 cruisers to cruise tonight.
See you all next week.
