We arrived on
Trophy Row a little 3 pm in our '67 Dodge Dart 270, Gary had his '07
HHR Sherrod parked by the stage, he and Scotty were buzzing around
in a Kart making the evenings preparations. Dave arrived in his '83
Grand Marquis, Bill & Doris were in their '79 T-Bird, Wolfman & Sue
brought out their '03 F150 "Wolfwagon" sporting new graphics, Tom &
Bunny brought the '66 Malibu tonight, Tommy had arrived to set up
his keyboard so we all set off to Flippers.
While we were eating Lori arrived in her '06 Dodge Charger, Laura in
her '98 Firebird, "Red Racer" Ted arrived to take pictures, Ray was
in his '32 Ford Coupe, John in his '57 Chevy 210, Lynn brought out
her '49 Ford Pickup, Rosemary had Dan & her Mom Grace in her 2000
Mustang Convertible. Ronald & Carol brought their '34 Ford Cabriolet
from Illinois for a month, Bob was in his '71 Camaro Z28, Nick, Fran
& Fenna were out without the '32 Ford Coupe which is awaiting new
parts, Mike was on his own tonight in his '92 Sonoma, Alex & Sharon
joined us in their '55 Chevy, Kenneth & Charlie were in the '76
International P/U, Larry & Rose were in their '69 Camaro, Walter
brought out his '67 Malibu, Gayle was in his '34 Ford Coupe. Bert &
Ernie arrived with Mitchell & his Granma in the '66 Comet Wagon,
Tina, Steve, Judy & John parked their '05 PT Cruiser, Warren brought
out a '98 Indy Pace Car for his second visit this year to Central
Florida, Stan & Maryann were in their '05 Escape, Mark & Theresa
from Connecticut spent the evening with us in their '07 Saturn Sky
Red Line, Ann & Vin arrived in their '92 Corvette, Doug joined us as
usual without his car, Debbie was in her '99 "Elvis Tribute"
Cavalier and finally Pete & Mary parked their 2005 PT Cruiser
bringing the total number of cruiser cars to 28.
After last weeks Veteran’s Day Tribute tonight was relatively quiet
although we had a fair sized spectator crowd with many of our
regulars. The Blue Suede Review were on stage Shawn, Paul, Jimi and
Tommy awaiting the arrival of Dwight and Vicky, Jan & Sue had the
memorabilia table set up, Mike was at the controls of the Blue Room
and Tracy had escaped from the office. We were all set for an
enjoyable evening even the weather was cooperating.
During the break Steve awarded Cruiser of the Week to Cruiser # 175
Lynn Olson with her '49 Ford Pickup. Bunny did a great job selling
50/50 tickets Alice from Ohio had the winning ticket for the $98
jackpot. Rosemary’s Mom Grace picked Cruiser #16 Steve & Linda
Butler in their '67 Dodge Dart 270 for the $25 Cruise-A-Matic so we
start over at $25 again next week and Debbie Burress with her '99
"Elvis Tribute" Cavalier for the case of oil from Valvoline.
Mary & Larry arrived with updates from last week, they want to thank
everyone for their generosity they have 20 boxes of “Care” ready to
ship out to “Molly’s Adopt a Sailor” recipients. The retired flag
was presented to Carmelo Diaz a 94 year old WWII Army Veteran.
Thank You to Old Town for inviting us out every week, to the Old
Town Merchants Association for sponsoring “A Tribute to the King”,
to Out of This World Embroidery/Custom Tags, The Old Town General
Store, Knives & Things, Toy Time, Electronic Town, The Gold Hut,
Kandlestiks, Wound ‘N Around and Old Town Leather, Valvoline, to
Tracy Old Town’s Events Director who brings us the “Rock at the
Clock” event to Gary & Dave our volunteer TCB guy’s and to all of
the Spectators and Cruisers with or without their cars, who come out
“Rain or Shine, Hot or Cold” to make this a great evening in our
“Home Town”.
News of an upcoming event
On Wednesday December 16, Old Town will be hosting the 3rd Annual
Golf Cart Cruise. Golf cart’s decorated for the holidays will lead a
cruise down the Old Town brick street at 8:00 pm.
