We arrived on
Trophy Row about 2:45 in our '67 Dodge Dart 270, Gary had his '07
HHR Sherrod parked by the stage, Bill & Doris arrived and parked
their '87 Chevy S-10 next to Gary, Joe & Harriet parked by us in
their '77 Corvette, Dave parked his '83 Grand Marquis Esther, Mesha
& Asa would join him later. Larry arrived to have dinner with us,
Tommy drove by as we walked up the street to Flippers and Ray
arrived as we made the final turn at the top of the street in his
'32 Ford Coupe.
Back on Trophy Row Bob arrived with Fran’s sister Fenna in his '71
Camaro Z28 followed by Nick & Fran in their '32 Ford Coupe, John was
in his '57 Chevy 210, Tom & Bunny brought out the '66 Malibu, Rich
arrived in his '87 El Camino. Wolfman & Sue were without their
"Wolfwagon" tonight, I think the '67 Plymouth Satellite I saw
belonged to David & Janet sorry I did not catch up with you,
Rosemary & Dan were in her 2000 Mustang Convertible, "Red Racer" Ted
was in his work truck, Kenneth was in his '80 International P/U. Bob
joined us in his '65 Rambler, Debbie was in her '99 "Elvis Tribute"
Cavalier, Friday Nite Cruisers Hal & Ava came out for the first time
to “Rock at the Clock” in their '06 Chrysler 300 SRT 8. Laura had
her '98 Firebird, Jerry & Judy left their Fiero at home tonight,
Pete & Mary arrived in their 2005 PT Cruiser, Ron is one of our
Snowbird’s he did not bring his car this year but he will be a
regular. Ken & Wanda brought their '78 "Indy Pace Car" Corvette,
Richard & Courtney were in their '99 Neon, Frank was in his '68
Corvette and last but by no means least another first timer Anthony
brought a car full of friends in his '66 Impala bringing the total
number of cruiser cars to 23, if we have as many next week we will
be able to have a cruise.
The spectator crowd included “The Tropical Breeze Group”, “The Blue
Suede Review” with Charlie standing in for Shawn on lead guitar,
Tommy on the keyboard, Jimi on the drums and Paul on bass guitar
were in place Mike Singer KJ4GNI was at the controls of the “Blue
Room”, Gary & Dave, Tracy and Scotty were kept busy all evening,
Radio Check Ins included Graham G4HFG, Emil KJ4GNH, & T Rod KT4ROD.
Dwight & Vicky arrived, Bill & Karen were visiting, the memorabilia
table was set up, Bunny was doing a brisk trade selling 50/50
tickets. The scene was set for Dwight’s first set after which Steve
awarded Cruiser of the week to Cruiser #155 Rich Towne with his '87
El Camino.
June a spectator from Sherwood Forest had the winning 50/50 ticket
for the $65 jackpot. Cruiser #89 Al & Aggie Wendling were not out so
the Cruise-A-Matic goes up to $225 next week.
