We arrived just
before 4pm in our
'67 Dodge Dart 270 there was a white Mustang
parked north of the stage, Gary in his '07
HHR Wolfman & Sue in their '03
F150
"Wolfwagon", James in his
'67 Firebird,
Dave
in his
'83 Grand Marquis,
Esther &
Mesha joined him a little later,
Bill & Doris were in their
'79 T-Bird were all in place, Allan was supervising
and Scotty was on duty.
T Rod, KT4ROD arrived to spend some time out. We did a quick walk down to the General
Store to see
Winston and made a couple of stops on the way back to
Trophy Row, "Mustang Mike"
& Emma in the
'64 Greenbrier
had
arrived, we all stood around in what was left of the sun then T Rod
came to Flippers with us Trish was waiting for us with fresh coffee
brewed.
While we were there Bill drove by in his
'63 Pontiac Parisienne, Bobby &
Arlene in a '73 Mercury Cougar, John, Sandy & daughter Dawn in the
'53 Mercury and Tom in a
'65 Impala. Larry & Karen from Canada in
"ITZA40" came to their first Wednesday Nite of the season as did
Friday Nite Cruiser Juan in an '87 El Camino, Bob in his '59
Corvette made the total number of cruiser cars 14 on this freezing
winter night.
Arne was the first to arrive, Peter came prepared with two heaters,
he has a regular engagement at the Seasons 52 Piano Bar he says stop
by and see him sometime, Richie Melito lead guitarist with the
Tremors was standing in for Shawn tonight and hopes to be at Old
Town often,
Dwight Icenhower, Paul, and Jimi arrived completing the line up
for tonight’s entertainment with
Dwight Icenhower and
Blue Suede Review, Karen was at the memorabilia table and Bill was ready
with water, towels and scarves.
Regular spectators included Jazzmine & Glenda, Coy, Mike Singer KJ4GNI
was at the controls in the Blue Room “welcome back”, "Mustang Mike"
cancelled the 50/50 and held over the $80 Cruise-A-Matic to next
week but did award
"Cruiser of the
Week" and it went home with Larry Lethby in his '40 Ford "ITZA
40".
Radio check ins included
Graham, G4HFG, Emil KJ4GNH and
Tony, K4AVD
from Wisconsin also came in over the K4ZPZ repeater.
Barb & Lenny Olsen wintering with us from Pennsylvania told me he
has two Studebaker’s at home but he will be bringing one down with
him next year to join in with us as a cruiser.

that brought us the "Rock at the Clock" event and to

TCB guys for giving us
the time that they do and to all of the Cruisers that are starting to
come out on a Wednesday Nite. Come on out, "Rain or Shine!" Cruisers, if
you don't want to bring out the car because of the weather come on out
anyway, lets build the audience on our own. Remember good entertainment
and good friends makes a great evening in our "Home Town".
