The Friday Nite Cruise
Old Town Shopping Attraction.
5770 West 192
Kissimmee, Florida

The last several days has just been gorgeous for Florida weather and today was just as nice for our Friday night cruise. This is our last cruise before Christmas and we want to take this time to wish you all a Merry Christmas and a prosperous New Year. Buzz and Sue were busy visiting friends as we arrived. Stan came in with his 77 Pacer shortly after. One of our newer cruisers, Bob Lanctot from around Ocala came down with his 1988 red Mustang. Bob cannot be with us all the time because of his work. He had to replace the transmission in his cruiser and now he wants to take the time to do the entire interior. This may take several months.

Bill Hunter arrived with his patriotic 2003 Ford Ranger. He is also cruiser of the month for December and he invited Buzz and Sue to share the honored spot. His daughter and son-in-law were out visiting Old Town. Pablo and Nilda was in line with their 1996 Ford Taurus, Ted, our ace photographer, with his 2006 Nissan was next in line. Ted takes some great pictures of our cruise and you can pick them up on Steve Butler's web site. www.sbcno.com We had quite a line of early birds. Dave and Lee with their usual good nature let us on to the brick street at 5 o'clock and then we headed for the Steakhouse and were joined by Stan and Bob.

Rafael Lozada from St. Cloud had his 1988 Chevy C1500 out tonight. He has been cruising with us about 3 months. Also Cecil with his beautiful red truck. Tom Coupe and his wife Susie were out visiting their friends but not cruising. His cruiser has been giving him trouble lately. We do have to work on them now and then. Sue had her son and daughter, who had her 2 children out enjoying what Old Town has to offer.

Gerald was on block 4 with his Pontiac but almost didn't get to cruise. He lost his keys but his son brought another set of keys just in time for him to cruise. We have many regular visitors that come out just to socialize. Our friend Bob had his son Bob out just to enjoy the cruise. Also Dennis with his Monte Carlo had his mother and her husband out who are down for the winter. Dennis's wife Linda was also with them.

Jon and Angie with their 1978 Pontiac Formula, Toby with his PT Cruiser (the frog car), Paul Harrold with his 1987 Grand National Buick and Bert and Laverne with their Elvis PT Cruiser filled up the spots on block 4.

Robin Perry has a unique 1978 yellow Corolla. Robin is the second owner and most of the car is original but has a beautiful air brush painting of a picture of Christ on the cross which is on the hood and words on the windshield (ONLY GOD CAN JUDGE ME). This is indeed a very nice cruiser.

Dave and Jane were back with their 1980 Pontiac Firebird Trans Am. We spotted a beautiful Delorean, we did not get to talk to the owner. Laura was out and walking around with Ted taking pictures. Near the stage were Pep and Nancy with their 1991 Mustang, Butch and his cruiser, Ken and Wanda with their Pace car and the Dodge's with their very nice truck. George and George, Tony (the Loser) and Ken and Audrey in their usual spots. Andy and Mickey were nearby with their great looking Caddy. Dave was back from Mass. with his HHR.

Old Town was very generous and were giving out cookies, coffee and hot chocolate to all. Tracy with her beautiful smile was tending the affair. Thanks to all who contributed to this.

We had 163 registered cruisers on this beautiful Friday night. Our 50/50 of $74.00 went home with Audrey, a regular cruiser. Dave drew 8 numbers for the Cruise-O-Matic and was talked into 2 more but could not give it away. Santa came by riding in a white El Camino. We also had a visit from a special cruiser friend, Greg Nelson Jr. who is in the Navy came by to chat and he got to ride with the cruiser of the month through the cruise. We ask God to watch over our people who are in the service. Again we want to wish everyone a very Merry Christmas.

See you next week.
