Our first Friday night cruise of November. We wonder
where the year has gone. Old Town has already started trimming for the
Christmas Season. However the weather was beautiful as we arrived at our
regular time. Buzz and Sue were busy visiting their friends in the
different shops. Bill Hunter, our proud Marine friend, with his
beautifully decorated truck was the next to arrive. Stan came by with
his blue Pacer and it sure is good to see that Pacer back after a couple
of weeks off.
Bob Butler with his 2005 SSR brought his friend Larry out to cruise
tonight. Larry is recuperating from an operation and does not feel up to
bringing his cruiser out. Thanks Bob. Troy Berridge with his 2002
Mustang, then Scary Larry (alias Roger Knight) from St. Cloud with his
1986 red Mustang convertible, and as usual we had a full line of
cruisers by 5 o'clock. when Joe, Lee and Dave left us on the brick
streets.
After our evening meal at the Steakhouse we went out to socialize with
our many cruiser friends and to see if we had any first timers. The
streets really seemed quiet after last week's Halloween Party. By around
7 o'clock all the spaces on the brick street were taken and we had quite
a few back on trophy row. Our Chrysler Club were in their favorite spots
back of block one.
Dave was on block 4 with his HHR followed by Jon and Angie with their
Pontiac Formula. Jon was on vacation this week so Angie took the day off
so they could cruise together. Tom who had his 1994 Ford truck did a
great job decorating his truck for Halloween last week, this week had a
different theme but he always has it looking great.
A beautiful 1985 red Chevy Silverado was owned by Cecil Rivera from
Poinciana. He has only been cruising 5 months. Felix Santana with his
1978 red Scorpion has been cruising for 6 years. Dave and Jane Daffron
came out with their 1980 Pontiac. It is good to see them again. We do
like to see these older cars coming back. Ike and Nancy were with us
tonight with their Corvette, as was Al with his beautiful 1999 Corvette.
Ed (the Loser), was out after a long absence chatting with Tony, George
and George and the rest of his friends. Karen Price has a beautiful 2007
Toyota FJ truck. She calls it her Cheta truck. It is beautifully
decorated with a Cheetah on the sides. Great job Karen.
We have a new cruiser of the month, Pablo and Nilda gets the honor and
favorite parking spot for November. We congratulate you. The band on
stage was Shakedown. Allan mention that in 2 weeks we would try a new
cruise route. We hope it works well. Thanks to Old-Town and our staff
for letting us show our 184 cruisers tonight. Our 50/50 of $59.00 went
to ticket holder 31000 who bought 5 tickets. No takers on the
Cruise-O-Matic.
