No rain tonight for our last cruise in August, it was a
beautiful night, just like Florida weather should be. It was also the
last night for Joe Ness to have the honor of being Cruiser of the Month.
We think we do know who the next cruiser of the month will be but we
will let that go until next week.
Buzz and Sue were there to welcome us as we arrived at Old-Town. Also
Bob and his friend from Ocala had Bob's 88 Mustang to show. He informed
us that he cannot be back until November. We will miss him but work
comes first. Stan and Maryann wandered in with their Pacer, follow by
our ace photographer Ted, so you will have some very nice pictures on
the internet tomorrow. Bill Hunter was also in line with his beautiful
Ford Ranger. He has this made up to honor the armed forces. He is a
proud Marine. Al Corsetti Jr. had his 1999 Corvette and he has had some
very nice work done under the hood in honor of his daughter who was in
the Navy.
Ken and Audrey showed up with their 2006 Mustang. Ken also has another
nice hobby. He has a room full of model trains. The pictures he showed
us were very nice. He must have quite a collection and he keeps adding
to it.
Tony, (the Loser) and his lovely wife Marlene were heading to Kool Katz
where George and George were already dining. Toby the Frog Man was the
only one of his PT Cruiser Club that made it out tonight. He was parked
on block 4 with Buzz and Bill. Ralph and Shirley, great friends of
Old Town also visited until 5 o'clock. George and Ursula, former
cruisers, paid us a visit tonight. They are bikers and come out on
Thursday night to enjoy Old Town.
Pablo, Nilda, Don, Jackie, Lynn, Nancy and the rest of the under the stairs
gang were in their favorite place. Our friend Bob, a dedicated spectator
Friday and Saturday night enjoyed the Repeatles, a very good band, with
us tonight.
Tom and Susie, Doug and Joanne were just visiting tonight without their
cruisers.
Dwight and Megan were just visiting tonight, as you know Dwight is a
very talented impersonator with a great show on Wednesday night at Old
Town. If you don't know him, come out any Wed. and enjoy a show you
won't forget.
We want to congratulate a couple of our Old Town friends, Buzz and Sue
Evans are celebrating their 48th wedding anniversary on September 1.
They have made many friends here at Old Town and we all hope they have a
very nice anniversary and many more. Good luck to both of you. Bill
Hunter is going on an Alaskan cruise September 7. We hope and pray he has a
safe trip and a happy return.
Our Cruise-O-Matic was not given away tonight. It will go to $200.00
next week.
Chris bought five tickets and took home our 50/50 which was $47.00.
See you all next week.
