No rain tonight and we had a beautiful night for our 124
cruisers that registered. Our regular early birds, Buzz and Sue with
their 2003 Ford, we had our 87 S10 tonight, Stan and Maryann had their
Pacer, Pablo and Nilda with their 1996 Ford Taurus, Doug with his 1978
El Camino, Tom Coupe finally got his 1983 Ford pickup back into the
Cruise. The early birds just come out to socialize before Joe lets us in
at 5 o'clock. At 5 o'clock Joe and Lee welcomed us in on the streets of
Old-Town and another Friday Night Cruise was about to begin. Stan and
Maryann joined us at the Steak House for our evening meal, then we
headed out to stroll the streets of Old-Town and find some new and
interesting cruisers. Only 2 of the PT Cruiser Club were out tonight and
Toby (the frogman) was one of them.
Also another new Friday Night Cruiser was Andres and Zahira Ruiz with
their beautiful black 1987 Grand National Buick drove in from their home
in Auburndale to be a part of our Friday Night Cruise. Bill Denonn had
his 1979 Black and Gold Oldsmobile which he has owned for about 3 and a
half years now. We are glad to see these older cars joining our cruise.
Bert has added some more Elvis graphics on the back of his PT Cruiser.
Some more regulars were also out, Pep and Nancy with their Mustang, Ike
and Nancy were back after their short time off with their 1977 Vette.
Tony, one of our favorite Losers was showing his beautiful 1994
Corvette. George and George, our father and son friend, were also with
Tony. Ken and Audrey Hawk was also on the street with them.
We found a very nice 1979 Lincoln Mark V. This cruiser is blue and white
with a white Landau top. The interior is also white and is very rich
looking. The proud owner is Richard Parshall who resides in Orlando.
Another short time cruiser, he joined us in January, is Paul Brennan
from Kissimmee with his 2001 Ford Ranger. If you see any of these
cruisers say hi and welcome them to our cruise.
We had a special group with us tonight, the Leukemia and Lymphoma
Society. This group is doing a fine job for a very worthy cause. The
Ferrari Cup Challenge brought out some of their cars and were joined by
a few Friday Night Cruisers. We met Jay who is chairman of the Ferrari
Cup Challenge who filled us in on some of their activities. Radio Disney
were also on site. Jody also informed us that they were well pleased
with the turn out. They also had a silent auction. Remember this is a
very worthy cause and don't forget the name. They need all the help and
financial support that they can get.
We
have a new business who is sponsoring our cruise, we stopped in and
talked to the folks at Rtography at Suite 173 at Old Town. They seemed
very friendly and anxious to join Old Town and the Cruise. Stop in and
say hi to them and welcome them to our family.
Thanks to Old-Town and our staff for another great night of
entertainment. Our 50/50 of $69.00 went home with Pauline who was
visiting from England. Joe could not give our cruise-O-Matic away so it
will go to $150.00. See you all next week.
