We hope all our readers had a safe and happy 4th of July.
We celebrated our great country's birthday at one of our favorite
places, the Friday Night Cruise At Old Town. We had a little rain early
but by 5 o'clock it was over and we had a beautiful cruise for our 89
cruisers that showed up tonight. Buzz and Sue who are having some
more work done on their beautiful truck had some friends that came out
to cruise with us tonight. Vivi Acevedo and family had their 2006 Honda
Civic out for the first time cruising with us. This cruiser is silver
and black. They also got lucky and won a checkered flag, congratulations.
We hope Andy and Vivi become regulars with us. Jon and Angie was
back on block 4 after being out a couple of weeks. Welcome home.
Ralph and Shirley came out to visit tonight and joined us and Stan for
our evening meal at the Steakhouse. Stan had his Ford Escape with him
tonight. His blue Pacer is a little under the weather.
As we were roaming around we met Edwin DeJesus from Kissimmee who has
been cruising about a year, had his 1977 BMW, 320 model, out to cruise
with us tonight. He had this cruiser about 5 years now. Also we talked
to David and Jane Daffron. They have a very nice red Pontiac with a
beautiful eagle painted on the hood. George and George Simpson caught up
with us to get their papers. Their wives joined them for dinner and then
went home. We would of liked to met them but some how we missed them.
Well, maybe next time.
Bert and Laverne have sold their truck but it may still be cruising with
us. Ken and Sharyn Dodge from Intercession City had it out to cruise
tonight. They were cruisers in 2004 and we welcome them back. Troy
Berridge who resides in Orlando, came out with his 2002 Mineral Gray
Mustang. He bought this cruiser when it was new and has had it out
around 4 times. It is nice to have a one owner vehicle. Only one of the
PT Cruiser gang showed up tonight. Ralph Zeigler from Orlando had his
2001 Silver and Teal PT Cruiser with him. He also bought this new.
We had a very big, and we do mean big, attraction out tonight. This 2008
F 350 Ford has been raised 6, maybe 8 feet from it's original height. It
is a four door with silver graphics over a black paint job. He has it
set on 54 inch wheels. Of course he has a remote ladder to get into it.
This is a Harley Davidson 105 Anniversary Edition. This great truck belongs to Bill McShane from Wesley Chapel, Fl. There were many, many
spectators admiring it.
Joe and Penny were back from their trip to Pa. and we were
glad to have them back safe with us. Cruiser of the month for July is
Bob Butler with his unique 2005 SSR. Bob is a good friend and loyal
cruiser. Stop by and say hello to him and any of these other cruisers we
have mentioned. Ted our ace photographer, got lucky and won another flag
tonight.
Our 50/50 was $80.00, Heather who bought 4 tickets, took it home with
her.
Our Cruise-O-Matic will go to $300.00 next week. Joe tried very hard and
pulled 8 numbers but could not give it away. Our staff is doing a great
job but we miss you Allan. Hurry home.
