As
we arrived at Old-Town it was a very hot and humid afternoon, Buzz and
Sue, Doug, Bill Hunter, Stan, Pablo and Nilda and the rest of the early
bird gang were in line by 5 o'clock. We had a storm brewing by then and
by the time we got parked the rains came. We decided to dine at the A &
W with Stan. We want to thank Larry at A & W for distributing tokens
Wednesday night for a free drink at the A & W. That was very generous
Larry. This was at the Dwight Icenhower Show. Don't forget Wednesday
night he will be back. This is a great show and thanks to Old-Town,
Budweiser and all involved who put this show on.
It
rained about 3 hours but by 8 o'clock it was a beautiful night for a
cruise. We want to introduce you all to a few first time cruisers. Tim
Shirley and his father Tom drove in from Lithia, Fl to cruise with us
tonight. Tim has a very nice 1997 green Ford F150. This cruiser is
equipped with 4 wheel drive. He parked behind us on block 3. Behind Tim
was John McCarthy with his burgundy Pontiac Firebird Formula. John drove
around 100 miles from Pinellas County to cruise with us tonight. Next in
line was Gary and Ginny Ramsdale who reside in Lakeland, Fl. They
brought their 1989 Ford F150 XLT Lariat. This very nice cruiser is Candy
Apple Red with a Purple base. This made 3 first time cruisers in a row.
Friday night is growing and we welcome these new cruisers. If you see
any of these, stop and say hello.
George Pennachi was out with his Yukon and it is good to have him
cruising with us. He is working on his 11th year at Disney. Also it was
good to see Albert and Tracy out with their 2001 Trans AM. Two of the
Losers were out tonight. Ed has been going to school and still has a
couple of weeks to go. It sure was good to see the Losers together
again. George and George were also with us tonight.
Chuck and Linda White with their 2 Corvettes decided not to leave the
rain keep them home. Chuck has a beautiful blue 1978 Corvette, he got
lucky and won a flag tonight. Linda's cruiser is a 1979 Corvette. It has
a rare paint job which is multi magenta Pink. Linda had her friend
Becky, a school teacher with her tonight. You can spot these ladies by
the color of their hair. If you see them, stop and say hi.
Raymond bought 2 50/50 tickets and took the $30.00 home with him
tonight. Joe pulled 4 cruise-O-Matic numbers tonight and gave away the
$300.00. The lucky winner was a friend and long time cruiser, you can
tell by his number,
Doug Kendall, he also won a ride on the Old Bull.
We had 79 cruisers that registered tonight. We welcome Allan back to our
Friday Night Cruise, it is good to have all our staff together again.
Thanks again to Old Town and all our sponsors.
See you all next week.
