A very warm afternoon for our first cruise in June. We
arrived early but Buzz and Sue were already there. It wasn't long until
Stan and Maryann pulled in with their 77 Pacer. Then Ernie with his 87
Pontiac, Bill Hunter was back with his truck dedicated to the Marines.
Our new cruiser of the month for June is Pat Simpson and his wife with
their 2006 Yellow Charger.
Brendan Schlenk came down from the Villages to show his latest cruiser
which is a 2004 Olds Alero GLS. Also Larry was out with his 1993 Red
Chevy Truck.
We found a very unique pair of Pontiacs. The first was a black 1982
Trans AM (KARR) with tan interior. This beauty belongs to Nicole
Laskowski. The second one belongs to her husband Stephen, this 1986 two
door is also black and is a convertible. (KITT) It is nice to see a
couple who have the same interest and can enjoy showing their cruisers.
It was good to see Ted our photographer back after a very busy weekend
on his job. If you missed his pictures on the web last week, he will be
back this week and has acquired a new camera. Allan was also very
generous and gave him an Old Town pin for what he adds to the cruise. We
and Steve and this cruise news, Ted, Allan and our whole crew and Old
Town itself are trying to make our Friday Night Cruise one of the best.
I think we can succeed. So any given Friday Night come out and enjoy
everything Old Town has to offer. We think you will be glad you did.
We were given a preview of tomorrow nights entertainment for their
anniversary cruise. Dwight Icenhower, a very talented Elvis impersonator, and his band Rhinestone Revival. You don't want to miss this
group when they are in town.
Our friends Pep and Nancy, Bert and Laverne, Pablo and Nilda, Emma,
Mickey, Don and Jackie and a few more, better know as under the stairs
gang. They were enjoying Dwight on stage. Ken Keel was back visiting
after his short stay in the hospital. Gerald, Mr. Pontiac cruised with
us tonight. He had his truck but his Pontiac should be ready for the
Anniversary Cruise. Also Jon and Angela, Joe Ness and Bill Hunter was
lined up on block 4. Also it was good to see Ike and Nancy back. Ike has
some health problems but is feeling better now. Also Tom is doing well
with his health problems. We miss any of our cruisers when they can't be
with us, we are all family here and care about each other. Allan came up
with a new bonus for our flag winners, it is a very nice pin which
features a clock. Now all we have to do is win a flag.
One flag winner did not show and no. 841 got the oil and the book. The
50/50 of $61.00 went home with no. 27054. Joe had one number pulled for
the Cruise-O-Matic but no takers tonight. We had 135 beautiful cruisers
tonight. Again we thank Old Town and our staff for another safe cruise.
See you all next week.
