Before we get to the cruise tonight we want to salute all
Mothers on their special day this Sunday May 11. We want them to know
how much we appreciate and love them. If your Mother is still with you,
you are among the lucky ones. Take good care of her and love her. They
are very special people. We want to thank everyone of them.
Jon and Angie, two of our regular cruisers who are usually found on
block 4
have a very special day coming up on Mothers Day. They are celebrating
their anniversary and we want to congratulate them and hope they have
many more. Another anniversary, George Pennachi cruiser and friend
celebrated 10 yrs. at Disney on May 8, he is a monorail driver. He has
worked the same job all the time and we congratulate him.
Now back to the cruise, it was a beautiful day for our 178 registered
cruisers. Allan has come up with a new idea of getting our cruisers
moving quicker, we will see how this works out. Having two lanes seemed
to work well tonight. We found another first time cruiser, Angel and
Julieta Morales from Orlando had their beautiful 1978 Datsun out to
cruise tonight.
We do welcome all our first timers and also appreciate all the regulars
and those that come now and then. Everyone can't make it every week.
Ryan and his wife had their 3 year old son R J. with them, celebrating
his third birthday today. Old Town is a good place to celebrate it.
Pablo and Nilda were back cruising with us tonight. This was Pablo's
first time driving since his by-pass. He is doing well and looks great
after losing over 30 pounds.
Cruiser of the month was back in his favored spot, the PT cruisers were
back in their same spots as last week, Pat and his Chrysler gang was
back on block one of trophy row and all was ready for the cruise.
John Barton who now resides in Georgia but is a native of Auburndale, Fl
came out to visit and enjoy all the cruisers. We appreciate all
these spectators that come from all over, after all they make our day.
Also Fred, our friend from Michigan stopped by to say so long for
awhile, he is heading for Michigan Thursday. Mesha and her friend
William stopped by to say hi and also Becky and her friend visited with
us tonight. We appreciate these two fine girls and welcome them anytime.
Tony Baugh, who used to be a Loser, got lucky tonight, he won a flag,
got his jacket for being cruiser of the month for February and also won
the 50/50. Maybe we should not call him a loser anymore. Anyways
congratulations Tony. Our 50/50 of $61.00 went to Tony.
Our Cruise-O-Matic of$75.00 had no takers tonight.
See you all next week.
