Another beautiful evening in Paradise for our last Friday
Night Cruise in May. It is also the last night for Ed Gangwisch to be
honored as Cruiser of the Month for May. Allan has informed us that Pat
Simpson will be the new cruiser of the month for June. Congratulations
and good luck Pat. After five when all the early birds were settled in
Stan and Maryann joined us at the Steak House for our evening meal. We
then wandered out on the brick streets to chat with the cruisers. We met
Steve Tavares with his 1976 orange Corvette T-Top. He can't make it out
every week but we are glad when he can. He also informed us, his good
friend Jose is still under the weather since his heart attack. We pray
he gets well and can join us again as a regular cruiser. Our good friend
Becky, not a cruiser, was out visiting tonight. She is graduating next
week and we wish her the best of luck. We gave her our gift certificate
to ride the old bull and she did a very good job and no hands. Good job
Becky and we love you.
Tony (Loser no. 2) was back from his vacation in the Keys. He and his
wife enjoyed it so much that we are afraid of losing him to this little
peace of paradise that he found. Also Ed (Loser No. one) we miss you and
your lovely wife every week, hurry back.
Pep and Nancy were out with their 1991 Mustang, Pablo and Nilda had
their 1996 Ford Taurus, Andy and his beautiful Cadillac, Ed with his
Mustang and Pat and his Chrysler gang were down on block one of "Trophy
Row" and we were all ready for our Friday Night Cruise. Bratt, one of
our staff members made a rare Friday night appearance. She also led the
cruise down the brick street. We missed our official photographer
tonight, Ted where were you??????? The cruiser of the month for April,
got his jacket on stage tonight. Congratulations. Also on stage tonight
were the T-Birds one of Old Town's favorite bands. Joe Ness could not
cruise, he had to work tonight.
Linda with her pink Corvette did cruise. Linda and her friend Linda both
had their hair dyed pink. They seem to have a good time and enjoy the
cruise. Linda Brown also got lucky and won the 50/50 which was $67.00.
We had a very special surprise tonight, Dan Haggerty, also known as
Grizzly Adams from TV, visited and was our grand marshal tonight. His
beautiful wife Christine (Pinky) accompanied him. We are sort of glad he
did not bring the bear. They reside in California now. Beside Grizzly
Adams he also made a movie with Rob Snyder. Also a bit with Elvis. He
also built the bikes for the movie Easy Rider. They are both very
friendly and we consider it an honor to have met them. We were proud to
have them lead our 139 cruisers this beautiful Friday night.
We again want to thank Old Town, all our sponsors, Allan and our staff
and especially all the wonderful spectators who came out to enjoy our
cruise. Joe could not give our Cruise-O-Matic away. Remember our
Anniversary Cruise is only 2 weeks away. Friday, June 13th
