We arrived at Old Town at our usual time but Buzz and Sue
were already there. Then Ted, Stan and Maryann, and the rest of the
early birds wandered in. Buzz had some new wiring installed after his
near disaster last week. We had some special entertainment on stage at
3:00. The York Chester Middle School Band from Gastonia, N. C. performed
very well but it was early and the crowd was small. We enjoy these
special events and the kids did a very good job.
We have a new cruiser of the month for May. This honor goes to Ed
Gangwisch from Orlando. He is the owner of this beautiful 1984 Pontiac
Parisienne. This cruiser is two tone brown and Ed is the original owner.
He also has the original license tag, 1984 Louisiana. We also found a
1985 C J 7 Jeep, this cruiser is dark blue and sports a 327 Chevy motor.
It's proud owner is Dan Muchler from Orlando.
The Central Florida PT Cruiser Club had 4 of their members out to cruise
with us tonight. They have added many extras and have made these mighty
nice show vehicles for us to enjoy. One was a rare 4 door convertible.
These were regular PT"s but was shipped to Newport Convertible
Engineering Inc., in Ca. to become convertibles. Only 100 of these were
made. One of our favorite staffs son, James was back with his 2005 Pearl
essence Orange Dodge. David Boulton from Kissimmee, a first time
cruiser, had his very colorful 2004 Pickup, it is Lamborghini Tangerine
with a Pearl Pink top. He also has a very unique stereo system installed
in it. We also met Linda White from St. Cloud with her beautiful 1979
Magenta with Lavender Corvette. This is a very nice color for a lady
cruiser. This is her first time showing this vehicle. Her husband, Chuck
had his Blue 1978 Corvette out tonight also. Our friend Fred, from
Michigan was in town tonight and looked us up just to say hi. We were
glad to see him again. We also met Graham and Carole from England, this
couple are good friends of Steve and Linda. We welcome them to our
cruise. Ted and T Rod were taking pictures which you can see on the web
site. Ted's wife Gina also came out to visit tonight. Our friends from
block 4, Tom, Gerald and Ken were out visiting but not cruising. Dave
with his HHR made it out even though he did not feel very good. We pray
for all our ailing cruisers. We had a beautiful night for our 184
cruisers to cruise the brick streets of Old Town. Ed the no. one loser
was back after his vacation and we thank Old Town for having us and
Allan and his great staff for all they do for us. One of our flag winner
did not show up so Allan pulled no. 175 and gave the oil and book to
him. Our 50/50 of $47.00 went to ticket holder 23034 who had purchased
10 tickets. Our Cruise-O-Matic will go to $75.00 next week. Joe could
not give it away tonight. See you all next week
