Before 5 o'clock as Buzz and Sue, Joe Ness and us were
waiting for our early friends to show up, Ernie a cruiser friend who has
not been out for awhile showed up with his gray 1987 Pontiac Fiero. This
little beauty has 85,000 miles on it. This special Pontiac has the motor
in the middle of the car between the back of the seat and the trunk.
They were only made for a few years. A rare cruiser in deed. Ernie has
plenty of backup, he has 5 Pontiacs in all, a 1969 Ford station wagon
out in New Mexico and his 1994 Dodge 350 Van. Come back more often
Ernie, we missed you.
Another surprise, a good friend came in with his beautiful 2003 Ford
Ranger, this was Bill Hunter, a proud Ex-Marine. He has this cruiser very
well modified and beautifully painted to do honor to the Marines. We
need many more of these dedicated people that love our country and stand
up for it. He was pulling a small trailer and has been traveling all
over the country promoting good will for the Marines. That is great but
we do miss him when he is away. We will try and get him back for the
Memorial Day Cruise. Keep up the good work Bill.
While we were roaming around we found this very nice green LTD Ford. It
was 4 door with a vinyl top and was sporting a Georgia license plate. We
are glad to see these older cars come in. Only one Loser was out
tonight, Tony. His other buddy, Ed, was going to school and George is
still working on his cruiser. We miss you guys. Stan and Maryann called
tonight from Indiana, they are out visiting their friend this week. Jon
and Angie, Buzz and Sue and Joe Ness were the only ones on block 4
tonight. Some of our regular cruisers were out visiting but not cruising
tonight. Tom did not bring his green truck, Butch was out but Jade's job
called her out of town.
Dennis also did not cruise but he stopped by after we cruised the brick
streets, just to say hi to his friends. He has been busy working on his
Saturday Night Cruiser. Ken and Wanda were out with their Pace car, Tim
and
Debbie was cruising also their son James with his Corolla, and Doug had
his El Camino out to show. All is well and we had 150 registered cruiser
on this beautiful Friday Night. We mentioned last week that Allan tried
a new way to start the cruise with a double line. We thought it worked
out fine last week but Allan said he had a few problems. Although, this
week he thought it worked out fine. So did we. Allan and his staff are
doing a great job of improving our cruise. We appreciate and thank them.
We also pray for our cruisers that are on vacation and hope them a safe
trip home.
Our 50/50 of $59.00 went to ticket no. 24724, that was the
only ticket she bought. Lucky. Our Cruise-O-Matic will go to $125.00
next week.
See you all next week.
