"Mustang Mike's"
Saint Cloud Thursday Nite Cruise-In

In the Wal-Mart Parking Lot
Next to the Sonic Drive-In
Saint Cloud, Florida

We arrived at 3:50 to a parking lot with overcast skies Bill, N2WFU had called on the 147.210 repeater to say that he and Virginia, W2VEJ and the boys were on their way in the retired NYPD Radio car. We parked our '61 Corvair in our usual spot, Coy stopped out to join in with us just before Bill and company backed in. "Mustang Mike" arrived with the DJ rig about 4:30. Chris stopped for a few minutes in his '75 Formula 400 Pontiac then took off home. Bill the "Photographer" stopped for his newsletter and wondered if the Cruise-In would run to completion. It did rain for a few minutes then the Sun came out brightly. At this time it was hard to tell. Bob B would situate his SSR in his favorite spot. Ron A was out in his daily driver, the Caddy is still undergoing that Big Block transplant. Renee would stop by as well. John R would be the next to arrive in his '65 Mustang convertible. Paul was out without his DeSoto then headed home. James came out in his daily driver, there was another Firebird there but I don't know who it belonged too. "Scary Larry" was out in his rain truck. "Cousin John" was out in his Caddy. Bob would be in his 36 Ford Humpback Tudor. Dana was spotted over there! This was a before setting, not an after, for him. Emma was out for a few minutes on her way home from work, showing off pictures of Lilian. "Big George" and "Little George" were out tonight in the Chevy powered Olds. Don R had his '68 Mustang Fastback behind the trailer. Bob in his 68 SS396 Chevelle was in the front line.

Josh. KI4UCB would stop by about the time we went to the Sonic to eat. Dave & Esther would bring out the '83 Grand Marquis and join us at the Sonic. Jim. W9QC and his sister from Minnesota were there catching a bite to eat. Pat & Alan were eating when we got there. Several more cars came in but I didn't get a chance to see who they were before the rain fell. Warrant & Kathy would be out in a daily driver just as the rain started and Mike pulled away just after most of the Cruisers left the parking lot. Graham, G4HFG, from Oldham, England would talk us home over the N4ARG repeater, in the torrential rain about 6:45PM.

Let's try it again next week but without the rain!

Last week the "Mustang Mike", Eagle engraving, Embroidery by Renee "Cruiser of the Week" award was given to Steve Clarke Cruiser #157 with his '77 Cadillac Coupe deVille.
