"Mustang Mike's"
Saint Cloud Thursday Nite Cruise-In

In the Wal-Mart Parking Lot
Next to the Sonic Drive-In
Saint Cloud, Florida

It was just after 4:00 when we arrived at the Sonic, J already had his '67 Pontiac parked under the big shade tree. There was one bank car still blocking the area for the DJ Rig. We were able to park our '60 Ranchero into our favorite spot just before Roger, AKA "Scary Larry" would bring his Mustang into the parking lot. John would then situate his '57 Chevy 210, next to J's Firebird. "Mustang Mike" would arrive and park the DJ rig just before 4:30. Ron A would back his '61 Caddy in to his favorite spot. Yesterday I had reported that it had been the hottest day of Summer, well, today would beat that claim. Hey, it' s Florida after all and this is what Summer is HOT, but then again that is one of the reasons I moved here almost 30 years ago. At least it isn't raining. Jeff would make a few loops in his daily driver. Bill the Photographer would stop out for a while. "Loser # 2", Tony would stop by for a few minutes in his Corvette. Paul would arrive in his '58 DeSoto, Jean in her '36 Ford and Bill in his Blazer would join John under the tree. Before the night ended Rich would be in that same line up with his latest Cruiser, an '87 El Camino. Bob would arrive in his SSR and park it in his favorite spot. Louie would be out in his '50 Ford, Hank would be out in his Baja Bug, Al would be out in his '30 Model A Tudor. Steve Mc, K4SKM would have his Model A across from us. Doc was out in the "Tater Truck", Suzanne would join him later. "Bo" would have his '64 Corvair parked next to him. Chuck & Linda would be out in their '78 & '79 Corvettes. It was a family outing for Tony, Marsha and James they brought out Marsha's '73 Datsun 240Z and the Healy Sebring.

Gary & Wanda were in  "Remember When" their '55 Chevy parked next to Nick & Fran in their '32 Ford, Mike & Linda actually made it out a little earlier tonight with their Big Block '71 SS Chevelle. Dave & Nancy made a rare appearance in the '59 Edsel Corsair convertible, Dave works the second shift. Bert & "Ernie" would have their '66 Comet Wagon under "Big" John's tree. John, Jonathan, Erik and Trish would park the '68 Camaro nearby. Anthony would bring his dad and the '71 Chevy pickup out tonight, his grandparents, Tom & Debbie would bring out their '66 Chevy Impala so he was a happy Cruiser. Steve, Charlie & Marie would bring out the '77 Coupe deVille, Tom & Diane would be out in their Model A pickup. "Cousin John" would be out in his Coupe deVille parked next to Nicky "Bop" who brought out his '55 Chevy. Roy would take the spot at the back of the DJ rig for his '64 Ford Galaxie 500XL.

"BeBop" Bob would have his '36 Ford. in it's place of honor, he would help Emma with the tickets in the trailer. Ed, WB8BHL, and his son Carson stopped out for a while. "Cousin Vinny" and Tim were spotted along with Dana who was "over here".

Even Phill was out in his Camaro, he and Fran were in San Francisco on vacation for a while. The Burton's were out, it sure was good to see them out and about. Dick was in his daily driver. George would arrive in his '61 Falcon he was actually a little early tonight, that really throws us off. It is only usually 45 minutes before we have the drawings after he parks his car. Renee did a great job on the shopping for the prizes once again.

Linda White, Cruiser #315 had the winning ticket for the $68.00 50/50. Jerry Bennett, Cruiser # 440 wasn't out tonight so next week we will have $50 in the "Cruise-A-Matic".

The "Mustang Mike", Eagle engraving, Embroidery by Renee "Cruiser of the Week" was given to Roger Fasnacht, Cruiser # 81 with his '56 Chevy BelAir.
