"Mustang Mike's"
Saint Cloud Thursday Nite Cruise-In

In the Wal-Mart Parking Lot
Next to the Sonic Drive-In
Saint Cloud, Florida

Number #199 of the Newsletter went on sale today.

It was just before 4:00  and Linda and I would set out to Saint Cloud in our '60 Ranchero for another night of friends and Old Cars. It wasn't long before we would turn on to US 192. Vine Street, from Michigan Avenue when the rain started, It was 4:15 when we backed into our favorite parking spot. The Rain started to fall, then a little heavier, then more still. Loy arrived in his '07 Shelby GT, "Mustang Mike" would situate the DJ rig in it's spot, it was raining a bit harder yet.  Linda & I had already taken cover at the Sonic. It wasn't long before Bob would park his SSR in his favorite spot. It wasn't long before we spotted a couple of Rooster Tails and heard a loud rumble. Yup it was Nick & Francine in the '32 Coupe, Bob was right behind them in his '68 Chevelle SS396. Loren from Auto Zone stopped out in his '87 Monte Carlo SS, just finished it. "Scary Larry" came out in the F150, then went home to get his Mustang. Ron A came out in his Cowboy Cadillac but later went home for his '61 Caddy. "Cousin John" was came out in his '72 deVille. Steve was in his '56 Chevy, Amanda would join him later. Steve & Carol parked their '67 Camaro SS/RS next to us. "Cousin Vinney" was tearing around on his scooter. Craig, Mary & Trinni stopped by in their daily driver, Ed & Evelyn and Dustin were bringing Michelle to spend some time with Trinni. John B brought his daily driver, Dennis & Francine, Alan & Pat, regular spectators, would set their chairs up across from the DJ rig. Emma would make it out after work. The Sun actually came out about 6:15 and Mike was playing music, looks like we have us a Cruise-In. Dick & Jackie would bring out their '65 Mustang 2+2, Roy F would be in his '64 Galaxie 500XL convertible. Don R had his Fastback Mustang nearby. Allan & Nicole would be out in "her" Tundra Pickup. George had his '72 Monte Carlo in Ron A's favorite spot but that was OK, he took his 2nd favorite spot across from it. Bob N was out in his daily driver and was back in the DJ rig helping Mike sell the tickets. Bert & Ernie were out front in the '66 Comet. Bob M parked his '40 Buick in "Big John's" spot because he wasn't there. Steve & Charlie were out in the '77 deVille, "Lucky Louie" had his '50 Ford nearby. George from Georgia was out with his family, a few years ago he brought out a great '48 Chevy. Barbara and Ashley came out, not sure where Larry was. Chuck & Linda were out without their 'Vettes but they had their Dash Cards with them. John, KG4BFJ even stopped by for a while. Oh ya, Rich stopped out with his latest Cruiser, a '87 El Camino, it's not yellow, but had to leave, he threw out his back today and needed to go home and rest. Hank did make it out on his way to work in his Baja Bug and George would roll his heirloom Falcon into the lot just after 7:00.

Alan did our shopping, Thank You, the 50/50 was $50, not bad for a small bunch on a short Cruise, sorry Mike I had to use the S word, abbreviated was too big.

Linda White had the winning ticket for the 50/50, The Cruise-A-Matic rolls up to $300 next week, Jim Rouse, Cruiser # 97 wasn't out tonight. Awwwwww.

Now next week, if the Cruise makes it to completion we draw numbers until we have a winner for the $300!

The "Mustang Mike", Eagle engraving, Embroidery by Renee "Cruiser of the Week" was given to George & Mary Sanderson, Cruiser #609 with their '72 Monte Carlo.
