"Mustang Mike's"
Saint Cloud Thursday Nite Cruise-In

In the Wal-Mart Parking Lot
Next to the Sonic Drive-In
Saint Cloud, Florida

Linda and I made our way to the Cruise-In a little earlier than expected, about 3:50, we did a few shopping stops on the way, as usual the stores didn't have what we were looking for. We then parked our  '60 Ranchero in our favorite spot. Bob M was the first to arrive in his '65 Rambler Ambassador convertible but he left when he saw the rain falling off in the distance to go and get his '40 Buick. "Then "Mustang Mike"  & Emma arrived and situated the DJ Rig in it's normal location. "Scary Larry" was spotted chauffeuring the recuperating Ron in his '61 Caddy they took Ron's usual spot. Bob arrived in his  SSR parking it right behind the Caddy, bob said he drove through rain to get to us but that helped him wipe off the "Love Bugs". Dave & Bailey the "Pony Dog" would stop by in the 64 1/2 Mustang. Coy would arrive to spend the evening at the Cruise-In, he always likes to help Mike with the cones. "Big John" would then back a '71 SS396 Chevelle into his favorite spot about the time Bob made it back. "Cousin John" backed his Caddy into a spot across from the DJ Rig. John would back his '57 Chevy into his favorite spot after I spotted "Bill The photographer" as well as Paul backing his "Toy Truck" into the spot under the big "Shade Tree". Jean would back her '36 Ford into a spot next to him, Bill K would the line his '81 Blazer up next to it. Dan Z would park his '59 Edsel in it's place of honor. Renee stopped out and took Ron over for the Prize shopping, Thanks!  Then we heard the rumbling coming from the highway, yes, it was Bob in his '68 SS396 Chevelle, Nick in his '32 Ford, Fran in the Camaro being led into the parking lot by Dave in his '63 Avanti. They all lined up along 13th Street. Dave & Nancy would arrive in their '30 American Austin and park just down from Bill k. Don would back his '68 Mustang Fastback into a spot across from Ron's Caddy. "Bo" would park his '64 Corvair convertible across from us, Bob N would park his '36 Ford next to him. Russ would park his "Wild Thing" down in Hot Rod row, I spotted the "Scott Rod" there too just down from Ray & Bonnie in their '56 Lincoln. Richard, a STNC alumni, was visiting from Georgia in his '63 Ford Galaxie 500, Ron S would park his '37 Ford ragtop next to him. Gary & Wanda would join the bunch along 13th Street in their '55 Chevy. Duke Craig and his Son Joey were spotted about the time that Dennis and Francine, regular spectators would set up the chairs across from the DJ rig. Fenne was spotted visiting with all. Coach was out in his Pro Street Duster.  Chuck & Linda would be out in their 'Vettes, Roy would park his Galaxie next to Ron A. Doc & Suzanne were out in the "Tater Truck", the "Wookie" would park his "Heartbreaker" Mustang next to us. Duke Jim would then join in with the Cruise. A little while later they entertained us with a few songs, just like they did a few years ago, Thank you! Laura, KI4ZJX, and T Trod, KT4ROD would arrive in her Firebird. Ed, WB8BHL also stopped to take a few pictures. "Lucky Louie" would park his '52 Ford across from us.

What a night it was, lots of cars and good friends, Allan stopped by, he looked a little worn. The news was that there were already several cars in line for Saturday's 18th Anniversary Cruise at Old Town Saturday. Hank in his "Baja Bug" out on his way to work. Sam would join in with us in his '32 Beauford, Welcome. Bert & "Ernie" would park their '66 Comet in the row along 13th Street and even "Big Jim" had his '87 Beretta up there. John, Trish, Jonathan and his friend Erik were out in the Camaro. Heck even Don & Tara were out with us tonight in their '77 Firebird. Steve, Charlie and Marie had out the '77 deVille., Jim was out in his '67 GTO George in his "Heirloom" '61 Falcon was amongst the last to arrive, as usual. Oh yeah. even Dana was "Over Der". Joe was out in his Peirce-Arrow, John B was spotted in his "Slick 51", even Jo Ellen and Morgan would be seen out looking at the cars and visiting.

The rain that was all around us never fell on the parking lot at the Wal-Mart or the Sonic. It was a beautiful night.
