"Mustang Mike's"
Saint Cloud Thursday Nite Cruise-In

In the Wal-Mart Parking Lot
Next to the Sonic Drive-In
Saint Cloud, Florida

 

We arrived about 4:00 the Bank cars were all parked along 13th street and our display area was open, Thank you. Josh, KI4UCB was waiting for us, he had brought out one of his Cheese Cakes in honor of Graham, W4HFG & Carole from Oldham England that would be visiting the Cruise-In tonight for the last time during this stay. Next week he will be back on my shoulder coming over the radio. Just after we backed our '60 Ranchero in to it's spot "Scary Larry" arrived in his '86 Mustang with Pizza from the "King of Pizza" that was available at the beginning of the night in the DJ trailer, for the "Early Birds". Then Ron would be out in his '61 Caddy  Renee would join in later and do the shopping for the door prizes. She also surprised him with a Birthday Cake that was shared with all in attendance. "Cousin John" parked his 72 deVille next to him. John in his  '57 Chevy would park down near the big Shade tree. Bill K would join him in his '81 Blazer. Jean in her '36 Ford and Paul in his "Toy Truck" would also be in that area. Steve Mc, K4SKM and Cheryl in the '64 Corvair Convertible parked just up from the shade tree. Bob would park his SSR under the little Shade tree at the top of row 2. Ed & Sarah had 1970 Chevy "Shortbox" Pickup out tonight. Rich who  was in his  "BANANAS" nearby. Dan Z, who stayed all night was in his  '33 Ford Speedstar along 13th street. Bob was also in the line up with his '68 SS396 Chevelle, Jim in his '67 GTO was next to Bob in his '40 Buick. Brian & Missy and Anthony would bring the '71 Chevy C-10,  Tom & Debbie were out in their '66 Impala shortly after them. Steve had his '77 deVille next to us George's '72 Monte Carlo was across from it. Carl would have his Cobra out and parked next to Jaime & Aglae's 502 Powered Cobra. Jim was out again with his '72 Challenger. Heal fast Nick! Dave, Esther, Nikki, Mesha and Asa arrived in the '83 Mercury.

Ralph & Shirley, Dennis & Francine, Alan & Pat, Coy, Danny and his grandson Zachary, Dana, Emma and Fred from Michigan represented our regular spectators. John & Jonathan were out in their Camaro, Hank in his "Baja Bug" out on his way to work. Laura, KI4ZJX (Hi Mary!) came up from the "Green Swamp" in her Firebird, she had kidnapped T Rod, KT4ROD and brought him along. Kevin KM4FSU also joined the spectators about the time that Graham and Carole arrived. While a bunch of us were over at the Sonic, Sarah stopped by on her motorcycle. Doc & Suzanne were spotted in the old "Tater Truck". Even "Big Jim" was out in his Beretta for the second night in a row. Roger was in his '56 Chevy, Larry in his '48 Chevy, some of the Grand kids and Barbara joined in later. Roy F would have the top down on his '64 Galaxie 500 XL parked next to Don R's '68 Mustang Fastback. "Lucky Louie" would be out in his '52 Ford and the "Wookie" in his '83 Mustang. I also spotted Phillip that was out in his Camaro. Even Timmy & "Cousin Vinnie" were out tonight.

Russ was in the "Wild Thing", '35 Ford pickup. Scott and Cindy were also out in their "Scott Rod". Gary & Wanda had "Remember when" their '55 Chevy out. Troy in his Camaro, this list just keeps going on. Including Chris in the "Last of the Lion" Jaguar. "Mustang Mike" was playing his usual mix of tunes and Bob, was helping out in the trailer. I even spotted John B in his 66 'Vette. Ray & Bonnie were also out in their '56 Lincoln with a trunk full of Cupcakes. Al would bring his Model A out and George in his "Heirloom" '61 Falcon was amongst the last to arrive. It was a very busy night that started of slowly, a great time was had by all and lots to eat.

Next week we will have $125 in the "Cruise-A-Matic" Curt Lixie, Cruiser #32 wasn't out tonight.. Awwwwww.

Steve McCullough, Cruiser #126, had the winning ticket for the $108 50/50.

"Cruiser of the Week" went home with Bob & Dar Nagro with their 1936 Ford Tudor, "Humpback"
