"Mustang Mike's"
Saint Cloud Thursday Nite Cruise-In

In the Wal-Mart Parking Lot
Next to the Sonic Drive-In
Saint Cloud, Florida

It was overcast but when Linda & I left for the Cruise-In we were optimistic about today. The Weatherman said that there wasn't much chance for rain until later tonight. We arrived a little later than usual around 4:25, Mike had already parked his DJ rig in place. Roger, "Scary Larry", was wiping down his Mustang.  Bill A '63 Parisienne parked across from us. "Buffalo Bill" had his '55 Chevy in the row behind it. Bob B was in his SSR and parked in his favorite spot. There was that same bank car parked directly behind the trailer. "Big John" arrived in his GT 350 while, Roger, Ron &  I were helping Mustang Mike eat the Pizza from "King of Pizza". Paul had his "Toy Truck" in his favorite spot. Bill Sykes, Joe Kerrigan and his grandson Joe were setting up their "Surfin' " display on the '48 Crosley Station wagon. "Cousin John" would park his Caddy next to Roger's Mustang. Steve & Carolyn Nelson from Canada arrived in one of their great Mopars. John & Sandra were in their '54 Ford. John was in his '57 Chevy, Rich would join him later, his "Banana Truck is still at the upholsterer. Don M & Jeff were out visiting with Steve Mc, K4SKM that had arrived in his '29 Ford sport Coupe. Other regular spectators were Dick G, Coy & Bill the Photographer. I spotted Clay, WA8ART, who was out with his brother, they left the 'Vette home. John, KG4BFJ stopped for a visit, he will have his radio's in his new ride sometime after this weekend. John made it out in his Samurai 6 Wheeler. Lenn was in his '60 Ford Panel Truck.

It almost looked like the night was going to be OK, Dick brought out his 2+2. Bob, with his '68 Chevelle & Nick in the '32 Ford parked along the front row. Francine was in the Camaro. "Bo" had his Corvair parked across from us. John R would park his Mustang next to him. Larry R would be out in a daily driver, the '72 Chevy Pickup went to The Carolina's today. The "Georges" would be out in the '86 Olds. They would be visited by kids grandkids and great grandkids. Larry would be in "ITZA40" he will be with us for just a few more weeks before heading North. Bob N. was out in his daily driver. John & Jonathan would be out in the Camaro. Then it happened, a rain drop, then another, it started to rain. A bunch of us went over to find shelter at the Sonic. Kevin, KM4FSU arrived as the rain started to RAIN! We sat for a while had a bit to eat. Graham, G4HFG from Oldham, England checked in over the radio for some details.

Mike came over about 6:20 and said he was going to "Call" the Cruise-In, the cars were exiting rapidly from the Wal-Mart. Oh Well, we tried. 10 chances to Cruise this year and only managed to get 5 in so far. Let's hope for better weather next week.
