"Mustang Mike's"
Saint Cloud Thursday Nite Cruise-In

In the Wal-Mart Parking Lot
Next to the Sonic Drive-In
Saint Cloud, Florida

When Linda & I arrived about 4:15 Jack was already setting under a shade tree with "Old Yeller" parked at the bottom of the "North Row". There was a motor home and pick up just down from him, Tony & Marianne followed us in to the parking lot in their '71 Monte Carlo. The Bank cars were all neatly parked along 192, Thank You. Bill, N2WFU called to say that he wouldn't make it out, had to drive the Bus again tonight. "Mustang Mike" arrived, Emma was riding along, with the DJ Rig, he positioned it in it's regular spot just before 4:30. Ron was next to arrive in his '61 Caddy convertible. "Scary Larry" arrived in his '86 Mustang, with Pizza & Sausage Bread from the "King of Pizza". Bob B backed his SSR into a spot behind him. Paul would be next in his '58 DeSoto that he parked by the big shade tree. Dick would bring out his 2+2 Mustang. "Cousin John" would park his Coupe deVille next to our little '60 Ranchero. Nicky "Bop" would be out in his '32 Ford parked just out of reach of Marianne. Jean would pull in next to Paul with her '36 Ford Coupe. Tom & Edna would park the #28 Fire Chief Car next to her and Steve Mc would be next to them in his '29 Model A Sport Coupe. "Buffalo Bill" would then park his '55 Chevy in the second row. Then the 3 Stooges, well 2 of them anyway would arrive. Ron in his '64 Corvair convertible that he parked across from us and Bob who would park his '36 Ford Humpback on the other side of the DJ rig. John would park his '57 Chevy down from "Old Yeller". Rich wasn't far away in his "BANANAS" that now had the new door panels in it. John & Sandy were across from us in their '53 Ford Victoria, Troy in his '73 Camaro was next to him. Then the 3rd Stooge, John arrived in his '65 Mustang convertible and parked next to Troy. Ralph & Shirley stopped out to visit as did Dana and Coy, Pat & Alan. Fred from Michigan was out in the crowd today. Pep & Nancy arrived earlier but he moved the Mustang to be next to Bert in the '66 Comet wagon. Graham, G4HFG, from Oldham, England did check in over the radio and spent most of the evening with us.

"Mustang Mike" then took Linda & I over to meet the new manager of the Sonic, Tim, now I lost track of the way everyone arrived. The cars kept a comin'. Bob would be out on his '68 SS396 Chevelle, Dan Z in the '33 Speedstar, Nick in his '32 Ford coupe. Bill would be out in the '81 Blazer, Ron H in his '30 Ford Tudor, Tom & Diane would be out in the Model A pickup. Ed & Sarah were out in the '70 Short Box" Chevy pickup but now it has Chrome rails on the box and a new shiny tool box in it. Tom & Debbie were out in their Mustang with a granddaughter. Jeff & Tara with a granddaughter were also with us. Roger had his '56 Chevy in it's place of honor. Larry V was in his '53 Ford Victoria, Barbara and a few of the grandchildren joined in later. Steve, Charlie and Marie were out in the '77 deVille. Even the "Wookie" made it out in the "Heartbreaker". Roy had his '64 Galaxie 500 XL in a spot so that he could join the guys on the corner. Ray & Bonnie were out in their '56 Lincoln, Curt was in his GMC pickup, Chuck, N4MOR was out in his '57 Chevy, Libby and his mother joined him later. Jim & Shirley had their '62 Olds F-85 next to us. Jim was out in his 67 GTO . Jeff was spotted with out his Edsel, he is going to have new bumpers soon! Now I know I didn't get everyone but I sure tried.

It was Corvette Thursday! A dozen or so of members of the Mid-Florida Corvette Club always grace us on the last Thursday if the month and Alan did our prize shopping, Thank You.

Paul Schwartz, Cruiser #6, with Tommy's tickets, that is what he says anyway, would have just the right one to take home the $112.50 50/50.

Cruiser # 70, Don Smallwood would have gone home with the $250 "Cruise-A-Matic" if he would have been at the drawing. Next week, $275 will be drawn for.

"Cruiser of the Month" was chosen for April, Jean Leonardy, Cruiser #109 in her 1936 Ford Coupe.

"Cruiser of the Week" went home with Larry & Barbara Vliet, Cruiser #204 in their '53 Ford Victoria.
